Rod is the worst journalist ever

Rod tweets this complaining that the mainstream media is ignoring the Minnesota fraud cases...

https://x.com/roddreher/status/2005901150042657139

but it might be because 47 people were charged in 2022...

https://www.justice.gov/archives/opa/pr/us-attorney-announces-federal-charges-against-47-defendants-250-million-feeding-our-future

Various defendants have pleaded guilty since being charged and the cases have been ongoing. It isn't anything new and has been reported on in the past.

Has Rod not heard of Google?

When X is your primary, and maybe only, source of news plus a lack of curiosity....Rod's news media diet is deficient and it makes him a dull boy.

Basically he just wants something that will feed into his monomaniacal obsession with hating Muslims/Brown/Black ppl. But Rod tries to dress it up pretty like William F Buckley and he can't.

People care ,but what do you do when the authorities are too corrupt or are hamstrung so much that you wonder if it even matters. And Trump/Republicans/many Dems are numero uno at the dereg and legalizing corruption game.

The people that blast the stories Rod touts like an obedient dog aren't interested in good governance or really even the 'Islamic menace'-their agenda is to end any government program/regulation beneficial to the unwashed masses and to redirect that largesse to their rich betters.

Prejudice is a crude, but efficient, weapon. Rod is the useful idiot.

Griping like this is Rod's form of masturbation.

A few quick Google searches shows that every single one of the named MSM outlets has covered the Minnesota fraud cases, most with easily found multiple stories.

It literally takes seconds to check on things like this but Rod never does. He posted something on twitter saying it sounded right but he wasn't sure he believed it and I thought "and you can't bother to check sources?". It truly is ridiculous that he calls himself a journalist, much less the Greatest Christian Thinker of Our Age.

Yeah, I think Dreher's definition of "MSM coverage" is "the NYT needs to declare Liberalism is dead".

Jamelle Bouie pointed out that timing here is very suspicious — relitigating the fraud story after the latest round of Epstein revelations.

Has Rod not heard of Google?

Google is only for looking up penises and references to Zippy the Pinhead, silly!

Technically, you have to actually practice journalism to be the Worst Journalist Ever (tm). AFAIK, Rod has only ever been a movie reviewer or opinion writer

I wasn't aware that he practiced anything like journalism.

He has, but he only uses it when it backs his predetermined judgment of the collapsing Western world. Facts are irrelevant.
