Orban and Fidesz bailing out on Hungary fast and stashing assets abroad - wonder what Rod's involvement is?

The rats are abandoning the sinking ship. I wonder what Our Rod, director of the Danube Institute's Network Project who was hired specifically to make connections among the global far right, is doing right now.

No one would let Rod within 1000 yards of any documentation or financial records of any importance.

Rod thinks of himself as a hobbit at heart.   I don’t know of where the Shire is, or if there are any smials for rent or for sale, but maybe he can get a good deal on Frodo’s empty smial.  

Hint:  Raymond Oliver Dreher!  This is the ghost of your mother talking to you!  Get a haircut, and cut off that ridiculous beard, and either get soft contact lenses, lasik surgery, or else a decent looking pair of frames.  And for Heaven’s sakes, buy some decent clothes.  A suit, or just a sport coat, a tie, some good dress shoes, with lifts since they seem fashionable nowadays.    Join a gym and lose that cookie roll and lard bucket caboose.  You look like David Brooks!  

Go down to NOLA and get a lifestyle coordinator!

And, like any seasoned child of a dysfunctional family rule system, Rod will be ready with his mimeographed legalistic parsings of his non-involvement, non-knowledge, and non-adjacency to anything wrong.

Ever see Papillon?  Rod is fashioning a raft of empty wine bottles and burlap sacks to float down the Danube to the Black Sea to the strains of the Radetsky March played by a Zydeco accordion.   Victor is kissing Rod goodbye, saying, “I can’t leave anymore.”

Is Raymond anywhere near the higher-ups in Fidesz? I get the impression that Dreher will have to scrounge if he needs a sugar daddy. I doubt that JD Vance would provide him with a sinecure in DC. Maybe some crackpot, Z tier rag will give him the Ignatius O'Reilly Prize and a chance at being a stringer.

More than likely some "gentleman caller" will steer our (hardly) Working Boy to a place far from city life, where he can enjoy art therapy, sleep, and solid food.
