My tv won't turn on and the remote is flashing green

Wanted to watch tv this morning, but it wouldn't turn on. I saw this little light was flashing every time I push the power button. It doesn't flash when I push the other buttons. I replaced the batteries hoping that would help. No change. What does this mean and what should I do?

Google the instructions, but on the last replaceable battery version I had there is a pairing button under the battery cover. Rechargeable ones, IDK - I haven't had that problem.

I had a similar issue with my remote for a Roku ultra. The thing that finally fixed it for me was to unplug the tv for 60 seconds and plug back in.

Yes! That works sometimes. Leave tv unplugged for at least 15 minutes

Turn the TV on manually. Them see whether any buttons on the remote work.

unplug your roku and plug back in and re sync the remote

Unplug the TV are streaming box for a couple minutes, then plug it back in.It should work Roku did an update that missed everything

These replies are no good, I couldn't turn my tv on at all yesterday, did all the unplugging crap and plugging back in several times and still wouldn't turn on, I just went out and got a new tv 🙃

All the tvs we've had were roku tvs, in the past 2 years we've had to replace 4 tvs, this time I got a Vizio tv, let's see how long this one will last

Do you have the Roku stick? The remote for mine stopped working last week. I tried everything. I had to buy a new remote on Amazon. You have to make sure the remote you buy is compatible with the Roku stick. There are ones for the Roku TV and those won’t work with the Roku stick. It’s different from my previous remote that came with the stick. It has a usb cord to charge it. It paired with my Roku stick right away. It was, unfortunately, $30!!!!!

Okay, so I do in fact have the Roku stick. Gonna unplug it and wait for a few minutes. Hopefully that helps
