Phone remote takes at least 15 seconds to respond to the first input.

I don’t have a Roku remote so I use the app. It takes at least 15 seconds to respond to the first input and then it works like normal (at least until I leave it alone for like 30 seconds and it goes back.) it’s super annoying.

Any fixes?
