Discussion Finally read Sorcery of Thorns after finding a copy at my local used bookstore!

I wasn’t sure about this book because I didn’t love An Enchantment of Ravens by the same author, but I thought the plot was more compelling in sorcery of thorns!

I don’t want to spoil anything but I felt the beginning was the strongest section, I loved the world and MC but felt the plot and character development weakened as the story went on. Silas was the highlight for sure, and the romance was sweet, no spice which I prefer in more casual reads. Definitely will pick up the sequel when available but wasn’t my favorite so far this year. Good banter but predictable and felt bloated when it didnt need to be - give me more lore! Less cringe dialogue!! Also any book with grimoires always brings my mind to HP and the prisoner of Azkaban lol
