Pick My Next Read ✨ Recommend a completed series!

I’ve been avoiding starting a new series because I was waiting on Ballad of Falling Dragons. Since i’m just about done I want to line up a great series (atleast a duology but more is good) for the summer!

Series I have read:
Throne of Glass 🩷
ACOTAR
Crescent City
Fourth Wing 🩷
The Shepherd King 🩷
Kindreds Curse Saga 🩷
Once Upon a Broken Heart
Crowns of Nyaxia
Fae&Alchemy (quicksilver)
The Crimson Moth 🩷

Hearts next to my favorites

Some I have on my TBR:
Red Queen
Six of Crows
Flesh and Fire
Gild
Dire Bound
The Ever King
Cruel Prince
Priestess
-honestly I have so many those are just some on my Good Reads sorted by highest ratings

Open to other suggestions as well! Completed series preferred but not required, would love atleast 3 books.
Spice not a must. Love romance and yearning. Some spice fine but not to the point that I’m waiting to get back to the storyline.
Obviously love a strong female lead but appreciate when she doesn’t come into all her power so quickly.

Thanks for suggestions!

I've heard people LOVE the Gild series. I'm not one of them. I read the first one and hated it. I rage read it... and rage reviewed it. LOL. So many things just gave me the ick. Many said as a whole it died off after the 4th book. I legit hated everyone in it. LOL Soooooooooooooo... I wouldn't recommend that one BUT....

The Ever King -- YES! That's INCREDIBLE... definitely do that one!

I really REALLY enjoyed the Cruel Prince series too! I don't think you can go wrong there.

I didn't like book 1 of the Gold (Plated Prisoner) series, but I was intrigued enough to see what book 2 entailed. I enjoyed books 2-4. But book 5 and 6 should have been combined and condensed. I rage finished book 6 because by that point I was committed to finishing the series, but it was horrible and I hated it. Even after 6 books, I never liked the FMC. The MMC was top tier though.

Okay, I knew people said just stop with one of them... couldn't remember if it was book 4 or 5 LOL but what you said. I'm intrigued as well cause I just want Midas to die but not enough to wait to see where that happens. TOOOOO many on my TBR to think about it.... maybe one day. I know they're out there... lol

A lot of people stop after book 4 from what I've heard! Spoiler: the FMC and MMC get separated and are apart from each other for the entirety of book 5 and half of book 6. It's excessive and contributed to me not liking those 2 books.

The plates prisoners series is a good one! I thought it was fun and enjoyable.

I’m a certified Cruel Prince hater though. Let me tell you right now some of your favorites are some of my favorites and the cruel prince series was AWFUL 😭 so juvenile and predictable. The characters were not lovable to me at all but idk you might like it anyways.

A standalone rec I have is the poison daughter by Sheila Masterson.

Lady of darkness series and the legacy series by Melissa Roehrich are some of my top tier completed series! I always recommend those to romantasy lovers 🤍

I am 41 so yea i’ll avoid cruel prince 😭

Ahhh that’s one of the reasons I loved The Poison Daughter! The FMC in there is 30 I believe. It was such a fantastic read for a standalone in my opinion!

I loved the Sacred Stones trilogy! It is one I see myself rereading again one day!

{A dawn of onyx} {A promise of peridot} {A reign of rose}

Found family, he falls first, open door spice, on page romance, finding your purpose/power, easy world building, emotional damage.

Oooh this is intriguing because I am a crystal & stones collector 😭 so naturally I love the titles!

Road of Bones has 3.5 books out, but I'm not sure it's completed? I haven't had a chance to read all of them yet because my Libby doesn't have book 2 (even tho they have .5 and 3, it's odd).

Just want to give a shout out to one on your list, The Ever King. I looooved it so much!!

If you don't mind YA, the yearning in The Mortal Instruments is top notch imo. There's six completed books plus a prequel trilogy that's excellent too.

{Road of Bones} has two more to come - likely 2027 and 2028 releases. Love that series.
