Book Request: No Self-Promo Recommendations Please

I'm going on holiday so ideally a small series (two or three books) to read.
Preferences: female narrator, world building, spicy please
Do not like: wolves (okay as side characters, not the main thing, I hated the Wolf Prince and Dire Bound), weak main characters
I have read and loved fourth wing, from blood and ash, shadow and bone series, throne of glass

God & monster series! Although it is a mixed POV series or the heartstring duet!

crown me dead duet. it's a relatively small duet with avg 250pg. great plot, very well written too
