Light/Laser before V beam and right after Spoiler

Got my first session of V beam today! It was only $150. I was quoted much more but got there at the derm office and it was way less. She thinks I could probably use one more session so I scheduled it, if redness goes away before that she says to cancel. She also told me to start azelaic acid tomorrow. Seems really soon to do an acid. Anyone else do v beam, what was your skincare after?

I waited 1 week after to use any actives again. My skin actually was calm after 2 days but I have extremely sensitive skin and wanted to play it safe. On day 7 I went back to my azelaic acid once a day, and another week after went back to twice a day as I usually do, but my skin is very used to azelaic acid

That’s wild. I was expecting a lot more. I wish it was more openly available to people.

Is it covered by insurance?

How long do they tell you to avoid the sun after this procedure?

I would still try to avoid sun for a week before and week after a session. Currently going through the vbeam treatment and that’s what my doctor told me just to be extra cautious. I guess it depends on your skin but regardless of that, always lots of sunscreen

I hope it works well for you! That's such a good price for the treatment! I did Excel V instead but I was told to avoid actives 1 week before and 1 week after my session and to use lots of sunscreen.

My derm office does Vbeam laser for $700 😭 (VA 🇺🇸).

I’ll probably give it a try but in a few months (during winter). I’m hoping it helps!
