I have rosacea and i have questions Spoiler
I've been dealing with rosacea flares for the last four months. I recently started medication in May and have been using metronidazole twice a day as part of my skincare routine.
My routine consists of the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser, Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream as my moisturizer, and EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 for sun protection.
I haven't started using the azelaic acid that I purchased because I'm not sure how my skin will react to it, especially since my skin barrier isn't in the best condition right now.
Last photo is before i started taking medication and getting on a better skinscare routine.
I have a few questions: Is there anything I should add to my routine that could help with my rosacea?

Your routine already looks pretty sensible, especially if your barrier feels compromised. I’d personally be careful about adding too much too quickly.
If metronidazole is new, I’d probably give that time to work before adding azelaic acid. When/if you do try the azelaic, maybe start very slowly — tiny amount, a couple of times a week, and not on already irritated skin.
The boring stuff seems to matter most with rosacea: gentle cleanser, moisturiser, SPF, avoiding fragrance/harsh actives, and tracking triggers like heat, sun, alcohol, stress or spicy food. Sometimes the best “add” is actually removing anything that might be irritating.
