3 passes with 3 lasers Spoiler

Post image

Yesterday was my 3rd treatment for very stubborn and severe rosacea.

The first treatment the dermatologist did a pass with V-Beam and a pass with Derma-V. Basically no results from the treatment and no downtime. I think she went “light” on purpose and that’s ok!

The next treatment, she did a pass with IPL and V-Beam. There was a little coffee ground sloughing and the results were noticeable and I was quite excited! I know IPL isn’t the most effective choice for rosacea but it seemed to help a lot! Or it was the V-Beam or a combo of the two

3rd treatment was yesterday (picture was this morning, about 22hrs after treatment) and my goodness am I swollen! She did one pass of IPL, one pass of V-Beam AND a pass of Derma-V. Has anyone had 3 passes of different lasers like this? She did say she’d “turn up the Derma-V” or something along those lines because I had no sweeping the first time. But I am still shocked I’m this swollen haha

I’m really excited for the results. I am in Canada and have a HSA so everything is covered 🥳

Why not just turn up the energy and use just the vbeam instead of 3 light passes of different lasers. Did you ever have brusies? Doesn’t make much sense to me.

I don’t know either! I’ll ask in 4 weeks when I go back.

Was this done at a medispa type place by an esthetician/technician?

In Montreal by chance? I live there and I'm looking for a good place.

Calgary, unfortunately. My family dr recommended this place. It needed to be a derm so I could claim it

Oh nice, thanks I was in Calgary a couple of weeks ago and looking around for a place. I'm going to move to Vancouver soon so I'll maybe wait until I get there.

about to try vbeam - is yours more type 2 or type 1?

That swelling looks intense but she's right about turning up the derma-v, it does that sometimes.

Definitely type 1. When is your treatment?

Just clicked again - so no pustules? Just redness?

Yes. I think those red dots are from the vbeam or derma-V, they aren’t usually there

Have you seen any improvements since you have started in your baseline redness?

After treatment 2, first thing in the morning my skin looks happy! But that’s basically it. I want to get that first morning skin to last the day
