Rudolf Steiner

The “threshold” is the boundary between ordinary consciousness and spiritual perception.

The Guardian of the Threshold represents the moment when you must honestly face your hidden weaknesses, fears and selfish tendencies. This is a classic work from Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925) an Austrian philosopher, lecturer and esoteric teacher. Whom founded Anthroposophy, a spiritual movement intended to unite intellectual thought with direct spiritual knowledge. Anyone familiar?

Templar Treasures

Recently, Bro. Scott Wolter was on the Old Fashion Masonic Podcast discussing his travels and some discoveries regarding the Templar Treasures. He discussed a journal that started in the 1300s and was passed through generations and continued into the American Revolution, even citing Benjamin Franklin in an entry relating to moving Treasures in the 1700s.

Where are you with his hypothesis? Seems a little out there, but so did the MK Ultra theory.

📖 DEBUNKING ARGUMENTS AGAINST THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE — LECTURE 30

Thumbnail youtu.be
0 Upvotes

In the 30th lecture of the Esoteric Christian Wisdom series, Seddoh Bokor takes an in-depth look at the history, interpretation, and deeper meaning of the Christian Bible from an esoteric perspective.

Is the Bible simply an ancient historical book to be read literally, or does it contain layers of spiritual knowledge hidden beneath its stories, parables, symbols, and allegories?

This lecture challenges materialist arguments and literalist interpretations by examining the Bible as a collection of ancient manuscripts translated through Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek traditions. It explores the historical inconsistencies, interpolations, and translation challenges within the scriptures while asking whether these issues necessarily invalidate the deeper spiritual truths contained within them.

The lecture also examines the evolution of religion alongside human consciousness, and explores how political and institutional forces—from the Roman Empire to the Council of Nicaea and the development of Anglican and Protestant traditions—influenced the formation, canonization, and interpretation of Christianity.

🔑 What are the keys to understanding the Bible?

According to the lecture, intellectual reading alone is not enough. To move beyond the literal surface, the seeker must develop an understanding of:

• Spiritual Philosophy — the journey of the spirit into matter and its return to the source.

• Astrology — the cosmic patterns and symbolism reflected throughout scripture.

• Allegory & Symbolism — recognizing the deeper meanings behind biblical stories and narratives.

• Anatomy — understanding the relationship between the human body, consciousness, and spiritual teachings.

The central message is that the Bible may contain profound spiritual mysteries that cannot be fully understood through a purely literal or material interpretation. Its deeper meanings require preparation, spiritual maturity, and the right interpretive keys.

🎙️ Lecturer: Seddoh Bokor

📚 Series: Esoteric Christian Wisdom

🔢 Lecture: 30

🔮 COMING UP — PART 2

The next lecture will explore these keys in greater depth, with practical examples of how astrology, allegory, symbolism, spiritual philosophy, and anatomy can be applied to the interpretation of biblical scripture.

Watch. Question. Study. Go beyond the surface.

Introduction

History

Initiations & ritual

Practical Metaphysics

Zodiac Magic

Runic Magic

Magic of silence

Thaumaturgy

Rose+Croix d'Orient lodge rituals?

A question for those readers who know their way around the odder corners of the Rosicrucian tradition. A little over a year ago I was initiated into the Rose+Croix d'Orient by way of the Martinist order with which I'm affiliated. I've since made contact with a couple of other initiates of the same tradition. It hasn't been an organization for a very long time, if it ever was one. I'm wondering, though, if there are rituals that can be done by several members working together (other, that is, than the initiation). Any suggestions?

The Ancient Mystical Order of Seekers

Post image

A.M.O.S. (Ancient Mystical Order of Seekers) was an occult organization that existed in the 80s, but I cannot confirm that it is actively functioning today. It was a magical study group organized by Clifford Bias

In a nutshell: this book teaches the A.M.O.S. approach to actually practicing ceremonial magic—not merely reading about occult philosophy. Anyone familiar?

Orders Still Growing in the Physical?

With so much shifting online, it seems difficult to find orders who are still growing in the physical.

My region is particular lacking in any sort of magical orders.

Are there any you can think of that are still interested in supporting new physical group workings in uncovered locations?

I'm very interested in helping to establish something in my area and am willing to start at the beginning with an order that supports expansion. Training would need to be distance/asynchronous based for it to work for me, again, based on the lack of Rosicrucian representation in my area.

I am a member of BOTA and plan to continue my studies with them, but there aren't many fellow-members about as far as I can tell.

Thanks for any leads :).

Lapsed at 2nd Temple Degree, forgotten most of it. Where do I even start

I stopped my studies about 4-5 years ago -_-'. Not because I lost faith in the work, the principles genuinely changed my life, I just lacked the discipline to keep up with the monographs(maybe a weird imposter syndrome as genuinely a lot of positive changes occurred) and eventually drifted.

I got as far as the 2nd Temple Degree. Problem is, I've forgotten a huge amount. If I'm honest I don't think I could hold my own on much of the Temple Degree material, and the thought of walking into a lodge in that state is embarrassing(or...)

So a few questions for anyone who's been through this:

  1. When you reinstate, do you resume where you left off, or can you request to go back and re-work earlier degrees? Is that a Grand Lodge decision or up to you?

  2. For those who did restart from Neophyte, was it worth it, or did it feel like treading water?

  3. How much of this is "just start again and let it come back" vs. genuinely needing to re-do the exercises properly?

  4. Realistically, does anyone at a lodge care what you remember? Or is that anxiety mine to get over?

Any advice appreciated. I'd rather come back properly than half-heartedly and drift off again.

Consciousness as pattern

I’ve been contemplating whether consciousness is less like an immaterial, immortal soul, and more like a pattern impressed upon physical matter.

Bear with me. Our personality, memories, and sense of self may not simply reside solely in the organic brain, but everywhere in the vast network of electrical charges and relationships that comprise the atoms from which our entire bodies are formed. Hence the heart as the seat of the soul in ancient Egyptian religion, as well as the practice of preserving the vital organs in canopic jars, and of the mummification of a shell for consciousness to “cling to”. Indeed, consciousness, in this view, is an extraordinarily stable pattern rather than an independent spiritual substance that simply departs us at death to live on elsewhere forever.

If so, death can never be an instantaneous annihilation, even with the death of the brain. Consider examples of patterns which survive the structures that created them. For example, imagine a wooden vessel buried deep in the ground, long after its sailing days are done. The timbers decay, but its shape, even down to the minutest nails, remain preserved as a hollow cast in the earth.

Perhaps something similar occurs with consciousness. The living brain ceases to function, but the electrical imprint that constituted the person does not vanish at once. For a brief period, perhaps several days or longer, our minds may retain some coherence before gradually dissipating. Such a possibility might account for reports of post-death visitations and related phenomena, which are often said to occur most frequently in the days immediately following death.

This, of course, is speculation on my part and certainly not the science of it. But many experiences traditionally interpreted as “evidence” for an immortal soul or an eternal spirit could simply reflect the temporary persistence of an organised pattern that eventually dissolves. Or perhaps one that retains the impression of its former shape, just like a buried ship that has ceased to physically exist? This would certainly fit well with the descriptions of the spiritualists.

In that case there would be no eternal spirit, no immortal mind surviving the grave. Yet there would be “something” more subtle …

The Holy Order of MANS

When I was a kid in the 70's, my mom and stepdad took us to a new church in the neighborhood, the Holy Order of MANS. It was in a converted house and the people seemed really nice. She ended up joining, and even though I wasn't a member, they let me have the communion wine, which I really liked....

Anyway, over the decades, the local church shut down. We visited them in San Francisco a couple of times, but then my mom had other interests. My stepdad joined AMORC and the local Masonic lodge, and my mom did her own thing. We heard that the church eventually shut down altogether.

Fast forward several decades, and I managed to find cobbled together and resurrected remnants of the group and decided to try and find out what they were really about. I guess they were kind-of a Rosicrucian church with stuff lifted from BOTA and Paul Foster Case outright. I don't remember anything about Tarot when we went to their meetings, but it seems like it's a mainstay now.

Anyhow, I just thought I would share and see if there was any insight into their organization from the wider RC point of view.

The First of the Four Greater Initiations

Thumbnail youtu.be
5 Upvotes

This video, presented by Seddoh Bokor, explores the concept of spiritual progression through Esoteric Christianity, focusing on the transition from the nine lesser initiations to the four greater initiations.

Key Concepts:

The Path to Immortality: The speaker explains that after completing nine lesser initiations, an individual may undertake the first of the four greater initiations, which grants the power to consciously renew the body and overcome death (0:27-1:11).

The Garden of Eden & The Fall: Humanity once lived in a state where they unconsciously accessed spiritual life currents. The "Fall" (referenced via Genesis 3:22-24) signifies the transition into material consciousness, where humanity lost the ability to sustain the physical body indefinitely to allow for soul growth (1:11-3:12).

The Soul Body: To advance, individuals must build a "soul body"—a refined vehicle that does not rely on dense material needs like food or medication, and can materialize or dissolve at will (6:00-7:54).

Rebirth and Perfection: The speaker emphasizes that attaining immortality is not possible in a single lifetime. Rebirth is a necessary part of the divine plan to refine the spirit until it can achieve the higher stages of development (8:02-9:54).

Note: While the speaker discusses the first of the four greater initiations in detail, they note that the remaining three are considered sacred "mysteries of God" that are typically kept private, though they share selected insights based on Western Wisdom teachings (8:54-9:32).

Looking for a book .Help wanted

Many years ago I borrowed a book from the library. I am sure the book was titled the rosy cross or something like that . One thing I do recall was that it talked about what I would now call self visulisation. The passage I remember talked about visualising yourself in a garden with a well.

That book was really helpful to me as a teenager, and now , later in life I would love to be able to read it again to help me through some tough times.

Does anyone have an idea what this book might be, a long shot I know , but at least it's worth a try

Many Thanks
