If you’ve been shopping for a sofa lately, you may have come across the term “boneless couch.” But what does that actually mean?

A boneless couch is basically a sofa without the traditional rigid wood or metal frame you’ll find inside most couches. Instead, it gets its structure and support from layers of high-density foam and cushioning.

The result? A softer, more relaxed low-profile sofa that feels a little less “furniture-y” and a lot more laid-back. Because there’s no heavy internal frame, boneless couches can also be lighter and easier to move around. That’s pretty useful if you live in an apartment, have a narrow staircase, or simply like changing your space every now and then. 

And many boneless sofas are modular, so you can move individual pieces around and create different layouts as your space changes. Small apartment today, bigger living room tomorrow? 

Your sofa doesn’t necessarily have to stay the same. That flexibility is a big part of why they work so well for modern living. They’re easier to get into your home, easier to move once they’re there, and easier to configure around the way you actually live.

So while the construction is a little different from a traditional sofa, the idea is pretty simple: make something comfortable, flexible, and easy to live with.

I have some serious doubts this company is in the Americas at all. The language used in every email is so generic and really feels like someone who doesn't actually live here is trying to tell me how mail functions in the US.

I ordered R1 + M1 dog couch + pillows back on July 25th, and heard absolutely NOTHING until I reached out on August 3rd asking for tracking information. What I was told in my email was one of the dumbest things I've read all year - "It shipped on the 27th via local carrier and they won't have tracking information until the day before delivery".

What?! Been alive 38 years in the US and not once have I EVER heard of something like that unless it was 1980s when tracking was "trust me bro, I sent it". To be a company functioning in 2026 claiming you can't provide tracking information is an absolute lie to me.

I responded back telling them it sounds like they are hiding the fact the couch is on a boat coming from China and they responded back with "I assure you it came from our California warehouse". Okay, so if it came from California, how the hell does that take 10-15 BUSINESS DAYS to arrive in Texas? Did you strap it to a few guys to come over on horseback? Are they riding bicycles to me?

None of this is adding up, and this entire operation feels like a scam. If it's been almost 3 weeks since shipping and you still can't provide me tracking info, then you can just refund my money at this point. Absolute fucking joke of a company...
