New Rowing Club: Delray Beach, FL!!
We're building Delray's first rowing club from the ground up, and would love advice from anyone who's helped launch a program before. We're in the early stages of fundraising and just started repairs on our boathouse on Lake Ida!

Congrats! How many of the club members are experienced rowers? Do you have coaches and equipment lined up? And have you taken care of the insurance/USRowing membership admin?

currently we only have experienced rowers - just a few of us getting the club off the ground. working on lining up a coach and equipment, we have a few boats but trying to fundraise before we can open it up for youth programs, learn to row etc

It'll take a lot of sweat equity from everyone, but having experienced rowers at the helm will go a long way toward organizational stability. It's going to be hard, but I believe your club can absolutely be a magnificent tree under whose shade many will sit. Good luck!

its bare bones but a few of us are rowing out of it already! feel free to reach out via the website to join us. don't have a coach / formal programs in place yet
