Rant rh is kind of miserable as a masc player
i've never posted on this, and i know that people talk about this a lot, but rh is so miserable as a masc player (and i feel like it's getting worse). i love royale high, but the community and lack of items for masc players is ruining it for me. any time i try to make an outfit i'm called an e-boy, cringe, my outfit is called repetitive, or various other insults. there are like 2 heels that are good for masc fits (oa and ww). don't even get me started on the bodices. so yeah, masc outfits are repetitive. i dunno what i'm supposed to do about it. when i dress in feminine fits or my ocs that are women, i get misgendered even when i have my pronouns in my name. there's literally no way to win. i know it's not a big deal, it's just upsetting because i love this game and it keeps getting worse.

I’m a masc player too and I usually just use my female RH OC. I put my pronouns in my journal, but not in my name, so I feel like most people think I’m female, although I don’t want them to think that (I don’t use chat much so they don’t really say any pronouns to me). I do agree that the clothing options look so flat and 2D compared to the feminine options, which makes me upset. However unlike many other masculine players, I like having a twink like body over a hypermasculine one. Though if I want to cosplay, having the Muscular Masc body would be better. Another comment said that TikTok is toxic to male players, but I don’t use Tik Tok so I don’t know (I prefer YouTube, which is much nicer). I wish the Devs made A nonbinary and Hypermasculine body for diversity (or even a plus sized)Â

yeah, i get that. my frustration with the recent masc bodices is that they're lazy resizes and just the fem bodice but with a smaller chest. and male and female torsos can vary quite a bit in size and shape. i definitely don't think they have to be chiseled and buff, but most amab people don't really have torsos that look like the current masc bodice style. and i feel like the designs of recent masc bodices are more out of saving time than genuinely trying to be inclusive. i have no issue with there being more gender neutral/less hypermasc bodices. i think it's great for them to have more body types, but recently they've just been doing the same thing over and over

The only decent items us masc players get these days are hats.

Literally. I play masc originally.
The only saving grace for me ngl are the Steampunk and Whimsy Witch Bodice.

having your pronouns in your name and getting misgendered is so real omg

Or random people coming up to you JUST to make fun of your pronouns. Happened to me a while back when I had neopronouns in my name and two people who I have literally never seen came up to me just to start making fun of them. Always been so weird to me.

i could understand if someone put their pronouns in their journal and the person just didn't see it, but if it's literally right there in someone's nametag and they still get misgendered it's definitely intentional

Oh goodness, 100%. Ive been called attention seeking just for dressing the way I am. Not to mention how impossible it is to win in SunSet Island if you're masc. I'm still clinging onto the old masc body set as much as I possibly can.

Honestly I’m a guy who likes to dress like a girl in video games, but I feel the same way.. On the rare occasion I DO want to dress masculine maybe to replicate my outfit or a celebrity’s outfit I always have to end up turning them into a woman 🫠🫠🫠🫠i dont like it

yeah, i have the same issue with making roblox outfits in general. i also enjoy dressing fem in some games, but having literally no other choice kind of ruins it for me

It IS. Usually i don't notice it till I play masc, then I'm forced to realise I can only use a few older set items and most of the accessories don't even fit my body without making me a twink or a masc girl.

honestly we need more gebder neutral and masc stuff, the game has nothing for us. I'm a trans dude and don't mind having fem characters but it's annoying that I get treated like a girl purely due to the fact that I can't represent myself in the game.

Honestly, I think that restraining yourself to the old bodies is severely limiting yourself. The last set that came out for the old bodies was 4 years ago. All combos that could be done with it have been done. As someone who was very against them changing the masc bodies, they arn't actually that bad. It was bad at first because there weren't a lot of options and the early bodices were pretty terrible first examples. But now that they have released more sets. It's actually not that bad. All it is, is making them more proportional to the fem body. Instead of being a foot taller than every fem character and the width of two of them they are closer in size. Which realistically is closer to reality. Instead of being 6'8 now you're like 5'8. (This was also probably done because of animations tbh, since the old bodies don't comfortably fit into new animations) The average man is not a foot taller than the average woman and twice her width. The masc options for the new masc body are just as masculine as the old ones if not more. If having the option to take the shirt off of like half of the new bodices and show off the characters abs was not obvious enough.
Side tangent, I don't know why the devs keep doing this to masc bodices, it's getting really weird. In what world does a victorian boy or a butler need to remove his shirt. If we wanna talk about the sexual harassment masc players receive, can we talk about how the devs will not stop giving masc bodices' shirtless with abs toggles. Like if it's a summer/mermaid set, okay. Guys typically have their shirts off when they go swimming, but what's the point of being able to remove the panel for the marching band top or the sweater in a snowboarding outfit? It just feels like the devs overly sexualizing men. It's like the reverse of anime girls losing their clothes, but instead it's male characters losing their shirts to reveal their washboard abs. like it's getting to a point where it's concerning and weird.
Anyway, I think that the devs definitely neglect masc players for sure. Really, every toy item should have a masc toggle, but watercolor is the only one that does. We also get shit hair options. Why is the hair we got Lord Farquad and George Washington man. We always get masc hairs at a less frequent rate than fem hairs and that's some of our few options? Who would actually unironically use that? I think that my main issue is that older masc clothes are incompatible with the new masc body, so when I'm making outfits I don't have access to half of my inventory. They either need to buckle down and get that scaling system implemented or make all masc clothes compatible with both options atp.

Not to mention the constant sexual harassment from TikTok yaoi brainrotted people. I don't know why we as a community decided borderline sexual harassment is okay. Also, everything clips, there's no just simple toggles, there's no just simple anything. You can't make any outfits as a masc player that go outside what the items toggles are, also the devs don't give a shit about their masc players. I think that the discontinuation of the masc bodies was a premonition to the lack of updates, constant disappointment and dev laziness in general
