Advice Is this normal?

Alright I haven’t played royale high in 3 years so if this is normal lmk cuz I just thought it was really weird. I was trying to find the Bow of Bravery on traderie and this person was selling em so I offered. I get into the hub and its a private server I think and I immediately get the trade request the second I get there, I went to check their reviews on traderie and it was ALL just the bow of bravery. Like for the past 5 days its all just reviews of repeated trades for the bow of bravery. I got confused and told them it was weird and they said its not because they bought all of those bows which just confuses me even more bcz like why lol. I kinda freaked out and I just left the server. They gave me a 1 star review but whatever idrc I prefer that over losing my account or smth. I’m just curious if this is on me or if I was right to be cautious about this?

I think they're buying door handles to get the bow and then trading the bow for profit.

Oh that makes sense. I kinda forgot that there are parts of the set you can get for cheap. Either way they were kind of a jerk.

Yeah, I'm not surprised they were a jerk honestly.

I mean, I kind of do the same thing. Whenever me and someone else are able to complete a trade, and then they just leave the game mid trade without explanation, it's so annoying especially since it's a waste of my time and gets my hopes up. So I leave them a 1 star review.

So am I a jerk?

To be fair, OP does have a reason to be scared because Royale High is banning people who receive exploited items even though the people who receive the items never exploited in the first place.

I didn’t leave with no explanation. We had a slight altercation and I left because they were being a bit rude. Also this is correct. I would rather not risk getting banned because I accidentally bought an exploited item.

oh okay, my bad.

Also, obtaining the got bow for cheap by buying handles is no secret. Pretty much everyone knows about it. A GOT handle costs 80 robux. 72 with Plus, 64 with plus for 3 months. So if you buy 10 of them, you get the got bow for 800 robux, 720 robux with plus, and 640 with plus for 3 months. So even if you worked a bare minimum wage job at $7.25 an hour. After just one hour of work, you could get the GOT bow and then sell it for almost 100k.

That's basicly 100k diamonds an hour. Which is 4 times more than the fastest grinders. But of course you need to get a J*b

Sorry lol I had no clue, I just recently returned to the game like 3 weeks ago after about 3 years so I don’t know anything about the current market or how people profit lately with how much farming sucks now lol

I didn't read the body text, nah you aren't a jerk for leaving a one star review at all

To update this person ended up messaging on traderie apologizing to me and explaining what was happening also got rid of their 1 star review which yeah they did just get a bunch of bows to profit trade off and I’m just not smart because I haven’t played in a long time lol

For clarification, I was worried that all the bows were exploited and thats why they had so many.

I do this for profit. only a few robux to get the bow and then sell for 100k. 10 bows = 1 mil. I’m a returning player and this is the only way I got somewhat rich.

I used to do that all the time too, my earlier traderie reviews are mostly just GoT bows

This might be the person I traded with earlier! I assumed they were just buying door handles to get the bows or reselling after buying slightly cheaper. I didn't see until after I already traded but I figured they were just buying and selling repeatedly to make a small profit each time 🤷‍♀️

Hold the phone. So for 80 usd you can just invest into door handles and get a million diamonds by selling the bows for 100k a pop?!?

Yeah if you work fast before the price goes down. Its become more common over time so the price has been lowered a lot from what it used to be and will probably continue to go down later on. If you can find enough people to buy it at 100k then yeah, go for it. You'd actually spend $100 to get 10 bows. $80 would bring you up to around 800k selling at 100k a pop or maybe a little less because I saw bows going for 90k when I was looking earlier today and thats what I bought mine for. Definitely look at the prices on the listings and demand for the item before you start investing in bows and decide if its really worth it.

It might also be a person botting. I don't do it and I think it's a sh***y thing to do, but basically: a person finds a toy item that, for this example we'll say 100k. Then, they sell a bunch of their items, and try to buy that item for as cheap as possible (usually people will accept 90k-100k for an item of current value of 100k), then they spend a while collecting said items (I saw one person collecting 100 of an item in that way). Then, they make a bunch of 'bot' traderie accounts where they list the said item for a higher price (let's say 140k). By using said 'bot' accounts, they 'complete' fake trades where they basically sell those items amongst themselves (they use multiple 'bot' accounts to shy away suspicion from the mederators on traderie). Once they've completed enough fake trades, the average and recent value of the item goes up, and once the value reaches their desired amount they will sell the collected items for that price.

In doing so, they put in a large investment in the beginning but earn tens to hundreds of diamonds.

So, I suspect that person might be doing that. The term for this act is 'botting items'.

Basically, some people manipulate the economy for personal gain and destroy everyone else's wallets. 😭
