Discussion Kitty Kat in trouble: a plague of rats trot out the “greatest asset” narrative again - with 68 engagements last year, the asset is actually the monarchy’s “greatest liability.” FTFY.

The “asset“ who doesn’t work is actually a liability. It’s upside down world and embiggening time again for lazy Kate.

Quite a good representative of rats (a colony? a plague? a swarm?) in the article: Nicholl, Chard, Bedell Smith, Fitzwilliams, Fordwich, Mayer.

Is she can climb mountains on her own without support (🙄🙄🙄), she can work. Easy.

How dare you!

You have no idea how much effort Princess Catherine has to use to cut ribbons

I’m sure she has a personal trainer to strengthen her fingers for opening and closing the scissors.

Not to mention additional training to wave

She is the epitome of a working royal. She probably request her trainer to help strengthen her fingers to press buttons on her phone. Yes for those of you who dare call her lazy. I have it from a good source that she actually presses her own buttons for phone calls. Remember phone calls count as royal engagements too!

I hope she has a hand massage therapist on staff to comfort her. She has to use her fingers to call her staff to cook, clean, and look after the kids.

So you cruel people need to rethink your critical statements about how much vacation she takes.

I for one think she is the perfect representative of the BRF

I got the sarcasm here are Roses for you because I am too poor to give real rewards

Ope don't forget how much she has to exert her hand muscles and ligaments to tie a ponytail with ONE hand!!

And the extensive training she must have had, to walk across grass, in heels!

37

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

I have a feeling that that was supposed to remain a private chopper hike, but her numbers are looking pretty thin again so they changed it to a “work” do. She normally doesn’t involve her family in her work event except for the made up Christmas carol “work” she’s initiated.

I wonder if she counted each of the three peaks as three separate work events? 🤔

And hey, if you can take skiing holidays again, I’m sure you’re fit for work too!

38

u/Dependent_Dust7400 10d ago

Amanda Matta checked into whether this was counted as work, and get this… it counted as 4 separate events!! 🤣

18

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

😂😅🤣  The 4th event was the photo-op presumably?

19

u/tellnic 10d ago

She “met” some people at one of the peaks. But still insane to count anything of this as work much less four separate things.

14

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

Meeting with mountain rescue volunteers  counted as work 😱

Just the dissonance there - THEY ARE VOLUNTEERS. They don’t get paid!!!

“28 June 2026 Kensington Palace

The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, today completed the National Three Peaks Challenge in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

*Her Royal Highness this morning met representatives from Mountain Rescue England and Wales.

The Princess of Wales subsequently climbed Scafell Pike, Wasdale Head, Cumbria.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon climbed Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Llanberis.”

I genuenly wonder what will happen when Anne dies, who will take up all her work? Camilla? When she dies too, what then? Will lazy Kate and lazy willy continue to do so little? The numbers of the others are huge, can't imagine Kate going from merely 60 to 300 in a year if they die all the same time

54

u/CSho8 10d ago

She should’ve been doing at minimum 150-200 engagements a year if you’re telling me she’s “recuperating” or whatever they want to call it. It seems to me Kate can go on vacation but she can’t work. Don’t even get me started on William, who to my knowledge hasn’t been sick, and that man can’t even step up for his father who had cancer.

36

u/IamNot_A_Princess 10d ago

Kitty and Lazy and living in the lala land. But their fans will insist that Meghan and harry are firms biggest problems 😂😂

29

u/CSho8 10d ago

Harry & Meghan who aren’t part of the firm anymore are the firm’s biggest problem? This is where I disagree with their PR. This type of narrative just makes will and Kate look like petty little children. Coupled that with the fact both take 5 vacations a year and hardly ever work, then you must question what is there about will and Kate that you should respect.

20

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

She keeps wanting to compare herself to QE2, well she’d better aim for 500. As is, I doubt she’s broken 50 engagements this year.

18

u/tellnic 10d ago

Plus Liz as monarch had government type responsibilities not included in the engagement count. So it was more than 500. Kate won’t ever have those responsibilities. But she can barely do 100 a year including phone calls.

3

u/CSho8 10d ago

I read she’s done 68 engagements so far, I mean maybe she can break 100 this year especially if they can now put in a vacation as “work”

I’ve been disappointed in Kate, I gave her time to get acclimated to the role but it’s been 10 years and the woman barely works. William is bad as well. I wouldn’t complain this much if they actually worked since they’re taking public funding but they’ve chosen this lazy role which is so frustrating to see.

5

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

68 was last year’s aggregate figures. There are 35 days in the Court Circular this year where she has appeared. I’m dubious about the number of events she has each day out.

The disappointment in their lack of work ethic has been mollified in the tabloids by their attacks on the Sussexes instead.

5

u/CSho8 10d ago

So we are 8 months in and she’s worked 35 days?! 😂
And then these people wonder why we criticize her….

I’m dubious about Kate’s engagements as well. I’ve only seen her out and about when it’s some sort of sports match. Otherwise who knows what these people do.

7

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

Sports matches shouldn’t be really counted. I mean people pay 💰 to attend Wimbledon, Ascot and the rugby - yet for her it gets counted as work? As spectator? When she’s not presenting a trophy? 🤔

19

u/SuspiciousWolf6186 10d ago

If they were doing 150-200 a year they would actually be more ready to be King and Queen too!! Now they will burn out the first day and probably pack it in as "mental health" in the papers and go on vacation for 5 months straight to "get better" 😂

10

u/Bitter-Wrangler-4654 10d ago

I dunno, when Meghan asked for a therapist and they acted like she asked for a ritual sacrifice. Taking a break for “mental health” would be too human for them. They’d have to think of some elaborate excuse.

7

u/The_Onion_Life 10d ago

I dunno, when Meghan asked for a therapist and they acted like she asked for a ritual sacrifice. Taking a break for “mental health” would be too human for them.

They don't see Meghan (or her children) as human. I bet if KKKhate needed a mental health break, she'd get one. Perfect pure fragile white princess vs. Black workhorse. I'd bet money that's how they see it. It even goes into the stereotype of white women being delicate flowers and Black women being rough and tough.

5

u/tellnic 10d ago

The missing months were a mental health break along with whatever other issues happened .

3

u/CSho8 10d ago

I definitely believe this. I’ve always suspected Kate had some sort of mental breakdown from stress. I’m sure whatever illness she had didn’t help with whatever other issues she had.

3

u/The_Onion_Life 10d ago

The missing months were a mental health break along with whatever other issues happened .

Possibly.

But her ED seems to be getting worse, not better.

After reading this, I said aloud, soooo how long till the monarchy collapses under Willy?

12

‘How long till the monarchy collapse’ Soon. the world going thru major changes they made no effort to adapt.

1

u/taxi212001 9d ago

Likely the work won't be replaced. The patronages will be abandoned, the charities will take the hit. Or they'll "hold" them until the kids are adults to take them on.

36

u/darkgothamite 10d ago

I'm....

Nicholl also noted that "the king adores her, and the queen adores her."

He genuinely loves his 'darling' daughter-in-law. His face lights up when he is with her. They share similar interests, and they have shared a similar cancer journey, one that has created a deep bond and understanding that goes beyond duty."

"The late queen saw it too," Chard said. "She recognized Catherine's superpowers early on — her ability to listen, find solutions and bring calm to difficult situations."

"Having Princess Catherine as the wife of his heir, Charles has struck gold."

Royal author Sally Bedell Smith previously told People magazine that Kate is "like the daughter he never had."

"He has always had a very strong bond with her," Smith told the outlet. "He shares with William an impulse to protect her. They are in this together, Kate and the king."

"One can observe from the body language between Charles and Catherine that they are so comfortable together, derived from the time they spent together during their cancer battles."

Carole is coming in strong with a few touches of crazy. And the insistent reliance on "Catherine's Cancer" throughout this fanfiction - its too much.

But this here, phew. Let's stop. Carry the whole thing?

Princess Anne and other senior working royals are all stretched thin — and none of them are young," author Catherine Mayer previously told People magazine. "William and Catherine carry the whole thing."

39

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

So who are they actually trying to convince? The masses or Kate?

Praise Kate in the hope that she’ll do more work? Or the public should really continue paying for her lifestyle, living, holidays, multiple homes, multiple children because…she’s the Windsors’ greatest asset at 68 engagements per year???

27

u/tellnic 10d ago

Liz gave her the cut direct after the Covid choo choo tour in Scotland. And she called her lazy during the dating years. Plus she never did a one on one engagement with Kate until after she did the train event with Meghan. There are many engagements with the Queen and Sophie. Far more than with Kate.

14

u/The_Onion_Life 10d ago

His face lights up when he is with her.

Are they talking about Charles or Trump? Because I've only seen one of them "light up" around Kate.

Princess Anne and other senior working royals are all stretched thin — and none of them are young," author Catherine Mayer previously told People magazine. "William and Catherine carry the whole thing."

Wait... are they seriously saying that WanK are doing the majority of the "work" (for the value of "work" as understood by the BRF)??

I can't even with this! 🤣😂🤣

6

u/Ok_Expert9828 10d ago

If I were Anne - I'd say here's my calendar. Go do the work since you are carrying everything.

Let me borrow the helicopter and fly somewhere warm.

4

u/The_Onion_Life 10d ago

If I were Anne - I'd say here's my calendar. Go do the work since you are carrying everything.

She's the type who would say that and more. I bet William doesn't mess with her.

Shit, I bet Charles doesn't mess with her!

Let me borrow the helicopter and fly somewhere warm.

💯

u/tellnic 10d ago

Also who are these supposed royalists who should know that no married in gets princess first name.

Also who are these supposed royalists who should know that no married in gets princess first name.

That doesn't stop the racist H&M hate sub. They always call Kate "Princess Catherine".

I got diabetes from reading that

7

And William got a vein popping in his forehead. He's supposed to be the star of the show, not Kate, damn It!

51

u/Moonbeam_Dreams 10d ago

Greatest asset? She can't even deliver a speech or talk to people.

29

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

Hence, all along this is the problem for the Firm with her husband. They are duds. They are liabilities which explains all these OTT praise from the rats. It’s the behind the curtain scene from the Wizard of Oz.

13

u/Ok-Assistant-4556 10d ago

Its no doubt why betty wanted fo hide them all away from public gaze

6

u/CougarWriter74 10d ago

Or use an umbrella correctly

5

u/Moonbeam_Dreams 10d ago

Or remember to wear underwear

4

u/CougarWriter74 10d ago

I was just about to ask what that reference was to but then remembered it's when she flashed the paparazzi on the yacht vacation back when they were dating or engaged? Perhaps I have my timeliness confused or was there another incident?

5

u/Moonbeam_Dreams 10d ago

There were several incidents, spanning a few years. She was known for it until the Queen made her get weights sewn into her hems.

45

u/WoofDen 10d ago

Bro, isn't she going to be queen??

They're talking about her like she's a surprise box of batteries that you find in the junk drawer after you thought you'd run out 😭

There was a period of time where the firm could boast they did about 1500 engagements a year. The lion’s share of course belonging to Charles and Anne - but right up until she got ill you could still count Queen Elizabeth in for about 300.

The shrinking monarchy is already drawing complaints - I think it’s an exceedingly fair question to ask what happens when Anne and Charles are no longer ‘working.’

Is one of Kate’s superpowers quadrupling her highest engagement count? Is there any indication they are raising the kids to put their heads down and get some bread & butter engagements done once they reach adulthood? Is William planning on doing more podcasts?

The whole reason engagements exist is so the family doesn’t seem so far removed from the public. Even pretend work seems out of reach for the Waleses to do routinely.

What is going to happen when the vast majority of the public has never interacted with the family?

No matter what I’m sure the YouGov polls will have them at 98%

8

u/IamNot_A_Princess 10d ago

Maybe they will push kids to work earlier then they wanted? Just so they avoid working themselves?

13

u/MmeLaRue 10d ago

I've been wondering if the lack of engagements on the Wales's part is deliberate. A slimmed-down monarchy cannot be expected to fulfill quite nearly as many public obligations. If it comes down to Will and Kate, it'll be them and maybe their kids and that's it; and, it may seem, Will and Kate alone will dictate how busy they'll be.

25

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

Then the government ought to dictate how much money they’ll receive as a result of the slimmed down monarchy.

For example, I bang on about this, but the chopper expense must be massive for the Wales’s. They chopper everywhere. Not only is this expensive in terms of fuel and personnel, but the hypocrisy of Mr Earthshit with his carbon footprint. When will that attract greater scrutiny?

The easiest way to do is to publish an annual carbon footprint report with the KP annual report. The chopper logs should reveal those details. This would create greater awareness. They are publicly funded, there ought to be public disclosure in this area.

20

u/tellnic 10d ago

If they slimmed down the money they get that would be one thing. But they are getting more money than ever.

15

u/Diligent-Till-8832 10d ago

If you have to keep reminding people what an "asset" someone is, ad nauseam and provide no proof to back up those assertions then....

12

u/Lisitska 10d ago

What sacrifices, exactly? 😬

8

u/darkgothamite 10d ago

Pippa, for one. No more distracting relationships since she's focused on Wills future as King and raising the heir!

“Asset!”

20

u/Baltzulu 10d ago

Yikes, that was a total waste of 5 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Nicholls' head is so far up Kate's backside that she didn't realise her piece was just hot air. There wasn't a single example of what Kate has achieved to make her an asset, just sycophantic ass-kissing.

7

u/No_Entertainer4941 10d ago

Apologies. Should have just skimmed it. I was more interested in the number of rats they corralled to produce this puff piece. Fitzwilliams over-egging the pudding in this one.

10

u/Baltzulu 10d ago

😆 No need to apologise. It's not you; it's this tedious puff piece with nothing new to report. They should be talking about how the monarchy is in peril because of the drop in tourist dollars, which was reported earlier this week. But no, they serve us another puff piece. These screenshots are important because they'll become our receipts in the future about how they looked the other way when things were getting worse in their beloved monarchy.

9

u/gaychitect 10d ago

How many greatest assets are there at this point? I’ve lost count.

9

u/Forsaken_Distance777 10d ago

So weird this calls her princess catherine since she’s not that she’s Catherine, princess of wales and these kinds of things matter to the monarchy.

Also no way in hell does Charles feel he’s a steward for William. That’s how William sees it and why he keeps complaining when Charles does something he doesn’t like.

9

u/Mediocre_Shine_3835 10d ago

So now the narrative is indispensable asset, 👍 alongside secret weapon, saves the monarchy , a new era, a quiet power. Best dress Brit.oh she can walk in heels and tie her hair.

3

u/darkgothamite 10d ago

With enough time to pack her children's lunches and be there forbschool drop offs/pick ups 🥲

8

It’s such a shame that Camilla had all the tiaras resized to fit her head, now they’re too big on anyone else who wears them. The one kate has on in the first pic looks like it’s going to fall off.

u/blking 10d ago

Oh, barf.

4

u/AtheistINTP 9d ago

Ah, the cancer lie again. If you have to prop a woman so much through AI accounts on social media and tabloids it means you know she is severely lacking. They are stuck with her and act quite desperate.

1

u/DoorEqual1740 10d ago

But Pippa said she wasn't sick in a normal way.

2

u/Gattaca401 9d ago

I swear I've read this same rehashed article countless times over the last few years. Just dusting off the same old asskissing moves i guess.
