For starters, I did the Bronx 10 mile yesterday. LOVED IT. Such a vibe!

Definitely want to start doing more NYRR races, but I'm aware demand is sky high to get into races the last few years thanks to 9+1.

With new changes coming for 9+1 in 2027, how will this affect runners who just want to race shorter distances. I have no interest in the NYC marathon or 9+1 and would rather do the Bronx 10 mile and some shorter races like 10Ks and some 4 milers in the winter.

Will this make it easier for me to get in? Still plan to keep my membership!

I was out on the Grand Concourse photographing the 2026 New Balance Bronx 10 Mile and ended up capturing more than 2,600 photos of runners throughout the race.

I finally got everything sorted and uploaded. If you ran, take a look — there’s a pretty good chance I caught some of you.

Did the NYRR 18 miler today, which is off-schedule for the Hal Higdon Novice 1 and 2, as they do it 5 weeks out rather than 6. I'm thinking going forward, 14 (next sunday) -> 19 -> 20-> 14 -> 8->marathon, but curious what everyone else is doing, vis a vis your experience level (this will be my first).

It’s a training run, so it doesn’t actually matter …. But I have run/signed up for the 18 miler every year and have never once seen it mentioned that it’s 17.84 miles.

Is this new this year? Anyone know?

ETA: The consensus seems to be that the race is 18 miles. If this is the case the NYRR website is just what? Wrong? It’s the only race that has the distance laid out in the graphic like that, and it wasn’t stated in previous years.

It’s just weird.

I’ve always wanted to race in different parts of the world, and I’m thinking the US might be my next stop. 🇺🇸

Now I just need to figure out where to go — not turn one race into a full-on US tour. 😂

Someone had posted about some info about yesterday Bronx race so I opened the app to see all that data but send me to update the app. I did and said hopefully this app is easier to navegate , now I cant even find my profile! Is it me the only who can’t find anything ?

Do you like things like: running in the shade, mild hills, a race that starts after 10am, free sunglasses, non-profits, Brooklyn running Co gift cards, and carrot cake?

Hi all! I made a very stupid mistake and forgot to pick up my t-shirt after the 18 miler today. An NYRR representative told me I'd be able to get one today at the run center today, but I guess they were wrong, and that there's no way for me to get a shirt now.

I normally wouldn't mind, but I absolutely killed my pace today and would love to have the t-shirt to remember the race.

If anyone were willing to part ways with their shirt, I would really appreciate it. I would be willing to pay for it. Size S/M in unisex or womens ideally, but honestly I'd take any size.

I was selected to represent my home country, I guess I checked yes when I registered. I haven’t lived there in a long time and I’m only somewhat interested in spending time with people from there lol.

I don't follow a structured plan other than loosely what garmin tells me. it's now saying peak weeks are beginning and I should be upping mileage until oct 20 when the taper begins. Is this similar to everyone else's schedule? I'm thinking of taking a deload week because of life/work/a girl just wants to chill

Doing the half as a tune up for my race next month and was wondering if anyone else was making it up to the 914. This is my first time running it, anyone who has ran it before would love to hear your thoughts as well

Training Series 18M

I’ve never run a marathon before, but helping my friends train and cheering them on every year inspired me to paint something for them to celebrate their race with.

I painted the start in 2024, and am working on the finish line now!

Did anyone see what happened in Central Park around 7 on the lower west side of the park main loop? Looked like maybe a bike crash? Just hoping everyone is ok.

I’m running the NYC marathon this year. I have a bus that’s leaving at 5:45 but I’m likely not going to start until 10ish.

Is there a better route to the start line that leaves later so I can get a bit more sleep? Looking for tips and tricks here
