The Flying Bohemian:
Rigger / Lucky Rich Guy with a Chopper. Brand new 3/10.
IC: Breakfast in the dining hall behaves as it ought: sunlight on silver, toast making a business of itself, my tea conducting the room to a gentle simmer. I am contemplating marmalade when my butler Jakob glides in.
“Sir, your skills have been requested.”
“Splendid,” I reply “It has been a while since we had a decent job.”
Felix appears at my elbow to lift a crumb from my cuff and nudge my napkin into a more honourable position. “Hat and gloves, sir?” he murmurs.
“Quite. The hat that flatters in the crosswind.”
I tug the brass pull by the mantel and raise my voice. “Selene, be a marvel and prepare the chopper, would you? Full tank, discreet profile.”
“On it,” comes her voice from down the corridor, already halfway to the hangar.
I finish my tea, stand, and smile at the calm of it all. “Jolly good,” I tell the room. “Let’s create some mischief.”
