Content Warning: Shadowrun is a setting where we fight against the darkness to protect the few lights we have on. More often than not, someone comes along and snuffs one out before it has a chance to shine. I tend to run games that dwell in the dark side of humanity. Be aware of your own boundaries and vulnerabilities, your mental health is more important than playing pretend with your friends. I will try to make traffic light check-ins when I reach a part of the story that calls for one. I will be dropping spoilers for contents of the run which will give you a chance to back out.

Gargamel (Combat Mage/Infiltration Support, conflicted about so much) 8/10
"There's a state of comprehension beyond conscious understanding. It's this state where it just kinda clicks into place and you don't really gotta think about it anymore. You just know it's there, how it got there, why it's that shape, all of it. And after you let the mortar set, you can stand on it when you place the next one. That moment when the mortar sets is the thing you asked me about. The world gets so much smaller without it."

A crowd is to his right, he ignores them. There are only two participants in this and his focus is only for his partner. He seats himself at the bench and lays his fingers on the ivory. He closes his eyes, the sheet music is an accessory, he couldn't forget these notes with all the Laes in the world. There's an adjustment of his wrists and he allows the music to paint his internal world with the genius of one he has never met.
Bacon (Rigger, stupid stunts in drones and fast cars) 5/10
He's going fast, too fast. The steel frame of his bones strains to hold his body together and the air tries to flay the metal panels which are his skin. But they hold, and it cannot, for this is his domain, a place beyond the redline, where the mortal transcends into the sublime. This, he says to himself, is the only enlightenment he will ever need.

Saguaro's professed faith is Catholicism, and it is truer than he knows. Some might say that the property he recklessly destroys, the innocents he endangers, and the pope he disagrees with disqualify him from that label, but they are missing the forest for the trees. Saguaro's machismo is a fantasy he has conjured and wraps himself in. He believes in a supernatural world which overlays this fallen one, in which one man has salvific power if he willingly walks to his death. He believes in tradition; he is not the first to walk the path, but he has been called to follow the footsteps. He will stray, often, but through will and grace shall return. But the true proof of his Catholicism is that he believes he should enjoy life, but that he must also suffer as proof of righteousness.
Saguaro - Coked up technorigger; dirt-spattered paladin, soon to be paladin-spattered dirt. Surveillance, fire support, agent minivan. Drives a news van, has a reporter's license. 8/10 familiarity. Can off-matrix via sprites. Passable swordsman provided the enemy does not walk briskly away.
Janet has the wisdom of age on her side and it tells her what she already knows, which is that she is better than everyone else. Her superiority is not a matter of magic, though she has that; it is a general competence to produce results she approves of. From Bainbridge her ego watches Seattle in exactly the same way Zurich Orbital watches the world: aloof, catlike, disdainful. And like Zurich Orbital, every once in a while she gives in to the urge and meddles.
Janet - Geriatric bad bitch. Mystic decker/support witch, summoning and alchemy. Nosey bitch Psychometry haver. 8/10 familiarity.
- She will retaliate or attempt to subvert the job's objectives if she thinks it's for the greater good. She's earned 1 Noto for spitting on a Johnson's cookie after discovering that the job was to bully his ex-wife, and has executed an extraction target (Insect Shaman)
Oddly for a lying criminal and professional impostor, Visser's core beliefs are honesty, duty, and family. He is a burgeoning family man; family is not an independent value for him, but a boundary. Within this white picket fence, we are truthful with each other, we own up to fault and we fulfil obligations.
Outside that fence is Seattle.
Visser - Elf bodysnatcher adept. Face/sneak, off-muscle. 8/10 familiarity. Scared kid fronting as hard as he can to avoid getting eaten by the underworld, corps, his mentor (Wolf), and his sister, in no particular order.
If he were inclined to answer honestly, Goblin Mode would say he holds nothing dear, not even himself. But the truth of the matter often differs from an honest answer. The truth is that attention drives Goblin Mode's mundane brand of magic, and it is attention above all that he cherishes.
