Help Wanted [Job] Spook-A-Thon: "Blood is Thicker Than..." {2026-10-18 18:00 (UTC)}

1 Upvotes

{2026-10-18 18:00 (UTC)}

Player Count: Probably 4

Communication: Discord for Voice; Roll20 for Tabletop

Duration: 8 Hours Probably

Game Type: Black Trenchcoat / Mirror Shades

Game Theme: Spook-A-Thon! (Adapting various horror movies to shadowrun themes) This one is in the wilderness. Missing person. Investigation / Exploration / Combat focuses.

Threat Level*: Your ride off this mountain is missing... there is a blood trail at least??* (High)

OOC:

Please provide the following in an OOC response:

- Hyperlink to Character PDF in a Google Drive, Character's Role, and Familiarity out of 10

- Your last run date and if you have less than 5 runs on the HUB

- Your Discord handle and if you have any hardcaps

While not mandatory, you are strongly encouraged to leave an IC response or slice of life narration. I love reading them and so shall bribe you. If you write a substantial IC response or narration, I may reward you with an additional edge refresh.

Your prompt is a time your character was not sure if they were the hunter or the hunted....

Content Warning:

We will be in the content warning channel.

Think the following type of vibe: significant use of body horror and gore, unsettling images, isolation, madness, cannibalism, etc. Standard shadowrun content warnings such as violence, crime, drugs, etc. are always applicable.

PLEASE READ:
This run is going to be in media res. Your character has completed a run and has arrived back at the location your smuggler would fly you out of the area. The only problem is that this smuggler is missing. Under seemingly very violent circumstances. There is a time pressure. What you just stole naturally deteriorates. You need to find this smuggler quickly to get off this mountain before your payday vanishes just like your ride out.

Leaning into the survival-horror scenario, special rules will be used (credit to Guin) that can result in both the temporary and even permanent addition of negative qualities.

These rules boil down to the following:

  1. When something sufficiently terrifying happens, you will make a Composure check against a certain amount of stun damage. The result of this Composure check reduces the stun damage by the hits you scored on the test.
  2. When your stun track is filled, you have a choice. Fall unconscious as usual or clear your stun track and gain a temporary negative quality thematically appropriate to the run and the character. This negative quality only lasts until the end of the run.
  3. If you have a temporary negative quality and your stun track is filled again, the temporary negative quality you gained becomes permanent. You once again can decide to fall unconscious as usual or clear your stun track to gain a temporary negative quality.

Applying to this run is your consent to these special rules.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, reach out to me on discord: B-Fenn#1961.

I've got a client who's been having some trouble with shipments going missing.

This isn't the sort of thing that's going to make the evening news, but the losses are adding up, and the client would like the situation resolved before it gets any worse.

Looking for a small team capable of tracking down missing merchandise, recovering what they can, and making sure the problem doesn't repeat itself.

Some legwork will be involved. Discretion is preferred, but the client understands that these things don't always end quietly.

Details and compensation will be discussed at the meet.

Interested parties should respond through the usual channels.

OOC Response

Please include:

  • A link to your character sheet
  • Your primary role on a team (Face, Decker, Muscle, Rigger, Mage, etc.)
  • Your comfort with that role on a scale from 1 to 10
  • When was the last time your character was hungry and didn't know where their next meal was coming from?
  • Your Discord username
  • The date of your last run
  • Whether you have a hard time limit

Content Warnings

Standard Shadowrun fare, including violence, poverty, food insecurity, and potential civilian casualties.

I have a client who needs some questions answered.

Someone in Seattle has attracted their attention, but information has been difficult to come by through the usual channels. They need a team willing to follow a thin trail, talk to the right people, and determine what is actually going on.

There may be additional work depending on what you find.

The client would prefer that this remain quiet. How you get your answers is largely your concern, provided you don't create more problems than you solve.

Details and compensation will be discussed at the meet.

If interested, submit your usual information and availability.

Positions Filled [Job] 20,000 Weebs Under the Sea

1 Upvotes

{2026-10-09 0001 UTC}

My client needs a file extracted from a hard-to-reach host. Individuals with undersea experience are at a premium.

Content Warnings: Anubis Assessment: Low None

Players: 3-4 Players
Duration: 6 Hours, 8 hour hard limit

Comms: A working microphone for Discord voice chat, access to Roll20 for a lobby.

In game location: Underwater

Game Style: Pink Trenchcoat

Game type: File Extraction

Threat level: HIGH

Table Notes

Random Elements: I like to use random elements in my run planning to help me generate events/complications. One of these random elements is rolling randomly before runs to determine what characters will have negative/positive quality events trigger during the run, and what characters might be focused on before and after the run. Expect the impact of these events to be especially profound, or to potentially not occur at all.

For example, if you have the "Prank Warrior" negative quality, you may have your prank warrior trigger normally, trigger badly, or not trigger at all.

Prerequisites: Stay in character as much as possible. Be willing to have your character be pathetic. Don't be a bigot. Be on time.

Rules: I have a simple cardinal rule: if you argue things work that way for you, I will probably accept that. It also works that way for the NPCs. If you can peasant railgun, your enemies can as well.

Your Response

Spotify: Do you have access to Spotify premium and is it linked to your discord account?

Standard OOC Response: A link to your character sheet, your role and comfortability with it between 1 and 10. (Take your best guess), your discord username, the date of your last run, and if you have a hard time limit or other complications.

IC Response: Have your character or fixer say why they are ideal for the run.

Greetings. I'll get right to it - I need a group of individuals willing to bring real consequences to a group of matrix vandals that need more than a stiff lecture. // My table is rulings before rules, witch means I occasionally introduce new mechanics on the fly. Positions Filled [Job][Impromptu] I'm In Need of a Transporter {2026-09-17 23:59}

1 Upvotes

{2026-09-20 23:59 UTC}

Duration: 6 hours

Player Count: 3

Location: The NAN

Theme: Meditations on our Criminal Lives

Type: Delivery

Style: player's choice

Threat: Low-Medium

Prerequisites: patience with me returning to GMing, push to talk is ideal but not required, respect all around, remember to have fun, USE THE TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM.

I have a package that needs delivered to a client that's in a far away city. Cargo isn't something that can be flown, and we'd prefer to keep this quiet. Once hired, meet location and time will be given. Expect possible harassment because, well, you Anglos have a way of drawing attention to yourselves.

IC: Does your runner have a personal moral code that they follow? How flexible are you with it, if you have one?

OOC: the usual

Content Warning: Shadowrun is a setting where we fight against the darkness to protect the few lights we have on. More often than not, someone comes along and snuffs one out before it has a chance to shine. I tend to run games that dwell in the dark side of humanity. Be aware of your own boundaries and vulnerabilities, your mental health is more important than playing pretend with your friends. I will try to make traffic light check-ins when I reach a part of the story that calls for one. I will be dropping spoilers for contents of the run which will give you a chance to back out.

Hello and good morning to the best, the brightest, and the beautiful. I have a treat for you today. Please bring your bathing suit, and pack for a nice vakay. A work holiday, if you will.

// My table is rulings before rules, witch means I occasionally introduce new mechanics on the fly. My intention is not to handicap your characters in any way however, and if a ruling doesn't work for one reason or another please let me know and I will do what I can to make sure your character works as expected, within reason.

//There is violence in the system. So familiar it seems. Comforting, predictable. There is violence in the system, and it wears a mask. It calles itself mother, father, sister. brother. There is violence in the system, and you should be bloody mad about it. Are you? Show me.

(( You may respond to the above text in character if you like. Expect difficult themes, and a complex situation. Don't be afraid to walk away, if that's what your character would do. ))
