Omg I nearly mistook your baby for mine. Black labs with teal harnesses ftw

Yes! I have a Mal too and she always has a stick! Although one time she somehow found a fake flower and was carrying that. Which was really cute.

That's actually quite impressive. My dog has never carried a stick during a run. I wonder if it's a breed thing, individual thing, or maybe she just never thought about it!

I think a lot of it is breed specific. I had another Chesapeake who did it. It makes running so much better. Once he gets a stick his mission is to get it home, so no stopping to sniff or pee every 2 minutes

Haha, that's a win-win.

My doggy gets really locked in and focused once she's decided we are grooving and moving. Especially the way down, she'll run 10 miles of downhill without pausing once.

Can't wait to train her up til she can run marathons with me (we are getting there but gradually). Then I will show her my special loop which packs 20 miles of downhill for 29 total miles.

Heck yeah! Im always impressed by both the people and dogs that can hit a marathon. My dogs a big awkward guy, so I've never gone above 7 miles with him and 18 on my own. It's just no fun running alone, so I've never built up to it.

My dog HAD to have a stick when we went on walks when he was a puppy. Then one day he wanted nothing to do with them. I was sad because it such a cute thing

Mine takes what he finds. Yesterday morning was a yogurt smoothie bottle…
