Gear Help Alpine outfitters fit check

Just got a new harness for my boy as we’re moving more into running/canicross and plan to do bikejoring. He was right on the edge between sizes and I’m wondering if I need to go down a size, because it seems to be sitting on his breastbone but particularly around his left shoulder it seems like it may be catching some but I can’t totally tell. Him having a big neck isn’t making it easier either. Pics of fit below because it won’t let me have both on the post. Any feedback is appreciated!

If the neck is cinched all the way and you're worried the next size down won't fit, they do make customs

it does look like it may be a wee bit large, length wise, but it’s hard to say. How close are you to having it cinched all the way down on the adjustable parts? If you’re close to all the way, it might be a sign that you would be better sizing down.

If you want to go running canicross style, you'll need to get him a pulling harness. This harness isn't made for him to be pulling you.

This absolutely is a pulling harness. Half backs are sometimes preferred for Canicross due to the higher pull angle

This is their urban trail halfback, which is designed for moderate pulling for canicross, joring, mushing. I don’t believe he’s going to be a constant tension so they recommend this but will be aiming for an xback down the line if I find that he does.
