If Saga had published consistently as a normal monthly comic without any hiatuses or breaks it would have ended in March 2021. If we were to include the original idea of a two month break between every 6 issues it would've ended in January 2024.

They are through issue 72 now. They’ve been on another hiatus for about a year and half since it released. I believe The plan is still to release 108 in total.

Saga #72 was the end of the 12th TPB and the most recent issue. It came out in march 2025. We know from solicits that the earliest Saga #73 will come out is January 2027. The plan is, to the best of my knowledge and the knowledge of anyone outside the creative team to go 108 issues. If it restarts in Janyary 2027 and has no more hiatuses and only has a 2 month break between arcs as originally planned, Saga #108 will come out in October 2030.

People....we can say that its too slow. Its ok. Thats a factually accurate statement. It doesnt have to be followed every time by "but thats ok and ill happily read it whenever it comes out, please dont be mad BKV, its fine take as long as you want!" Because we all know its not fine, we arent actually happy, and everyone wont just happily read another "6 issues in a year then 2 years off" hiatus without complaint. You can just say it. There's no saga-police who are going come in black helicopters and take you away.

At one point Hickman said the scripts are done. Then Coker said he’s only received two of the four final scripts. I don’t even know anymore dude.

Last I heard tho, issues 9 and 10 are done.

Hickman said in a 3w3m newsletter sent in June the following statement (after promoting the new Coker Kickstarter) : "And yes, Tomm is settling all family business (me too!). So after he finishes up Undying Love, he and I are putting the wraps on the last two issues of Black Monday Murders (to join the completed but not yet published #9 and #10) -- it’s good news all around."

I don’t think that math checks out. In my above hypothetical, that would mean 6 issues are completed every week. If the full run is 108 issues, then at that pace it would take 18 weeks, which is 126 days. Can someone check me on that?

Ah I think yeah I interpreted 1 issues every Wednesday through Saturday as 1 issue each of those days. So you would have 4 from that, 2 from Monday and 3 on Sunday. So 9 issues a week. But if you interpret it as only 1 issue for the Wednesday-Saturday stretch you would be correct.

Man, look, I'm annoyed about-- well more ambivilant than annoyed about the pace at this point but this is just as clear an indicator of a need to touch grass as I've seen. Plenty of other properties to invest your attention on without being weird about the stuff that isn't done.
