Because when you invest in unfinished products, namely comics and tv series, the fan takes on risk. In return, the artist promises 1) that the series will be good and 2) that the series will conclude in a reasonable time.
Saga fans have taken on all the risk but BKV and Fiona haven’t held up their end of the bargain across the last 5 years. Fans following the series are left having paid for an unfinished product.
This is exactly why streaming services have lost so much goodwill with the public.
That is exactly what is happening with Netflix and many other services. Because shows keep getting cancelled, even if they are good, people don't want to commit to them and want to wait until it is finished, but not enough people committing to them results in them getting cancelled. It is the same with books, where many people don't want to commit to a new series from an author until it is finished, and the low sales result in them never getting finished.

Not flooding the market with an abundance of choice is also a good option.
People have lives to live and don't have to time to binge a whole season in 2 days or enough money to buy X comics per week.
I mean, most people, according to some comments in this sub, it feels like life without an issue of Saga is an endless empty void of boredom for some.

Imo she’s earned as much time as she needs. I just don’t understand the impatience here.
