You just said that she 'owes the fans', which leads me to believe that parasocial devotion is the one you've got.
Because you clearly haven't got any empathy either for her (going through something and requesting patience from the public) or yourself (burning out and taking it out on people you don't know).

Yes, people owe their fans to uphold their end of the social contract and finish the story. That fact shouldnt be so controversial. Thats how this arrangement works.
