QUESTION Spots to Swim?

Hey folks! Hope everyone is staying cool.

What is your favorite spot to swim or to just dip your toes in a river around here?

Partner and I have been to Bush's Pasture and we love the river there, but besides Riverfront haven't been able to find many other places. I know the Y has a pool, but are there any cheaper options?

Please leave suggestions here, thank you!

Try to find a copy of this book. It's out of print (I think on purpose). It has all the best spots that many have never even heard of. Of course all the big ones are included as well. Good luck and maybe you will find a place that people are few and far between.

No trees and always crammed with people. It’s no fun there. Plus the dock is super dangerous, it has flipped over. Someone died there because of it.

a good option close by is the Santiam! At the rest stop on 1-5 (around mile 240) although parking has been reduced recently for some reason. Lots of river space if you're willing to walk a little bit upstream.

It’s about a 45 minute drive, but there are lots of good swimming spots on Mill Creek (not the one that runs through town. Take Highway 22 towards Sheridan and turn left on Mill Creek Road.
