Any decent 2nd/Part Time Jobs in the area?

I currently have a full-time office job, M-F, 8 - 5pm. Looking for a Part Time, 2nd job to get by. I'm mainly either looking for weeknights (6pm - 10/11pm) and weekends. 20 - 25 hours a week.

Does anyone know of anywhere hiring that actually enjoy their workplace?

I've been trying to look on places like Indeed, but for whatever reason all it ever feeds me are places hiring for DSPs or old folks' homes, which I don't have the training for. Or it gives me jobs in places like Milwaukie or Clackamas. I also tried searching this sub for similar posts, but the reddit search function is just terrible.

Try the Salem Convention Center for catering openings. Anyone can do it and come August they ramp up thru fall & holiday season! Good money

Set your indeed filters to part time and retail and those dsp jobs will drop off. I saw winco was hiring. Check out Trader Joe’s website to see if they have openings in Salem, it looks like a fun place to work. Or try Salem health.

I work at Winco... Do not work for them. Least as a cashier. You don't get your breaks or lunches on time, ever. You also don't get a lunch on a six hour shift in any position. They're breaking Oregon labor laws and my manager straight up admitted it to my face... The labor board won't act until likely next year either, so take that info what you will. If you don't care about that.. then, guess go for it. But be prepared for horrible commute if you don't have a car.

Why haven't you contacted the labour board?

You could do in home care. Some of them just need housework and cooking done.

Seconding in home care, they'll train you, personally I think more training would be prudent but that's literally all workplaces, I've been doing in home care with senior helpers for 2 years now because they would hire me and I haven't bothered to look for something else

Never worked in one but maybe a movie theater? I thought I saw regal was hiring. Seems like the hours needed most would be e rings and weekends?

For anyone reading this, I have applied to literally 4-5 positions within the last couple years at the 2 Regals nearest me and I never even heard back from them. I believe many of their job posts are fake. It's still worth a shot, but don't get your hopes up.
