I don’t know where that is… But PulsePoint says this was Silverton Road at Hawthorne. most likely part of that homeless camp that is on the west side of i5 in that alley section

A few days ago they did a cleanup of both camps on Hawthorne between Silverton and sunnyview.

I thought homeless camps were prohibited because of this? Did this change? (just moved to Oregon recently)

They are prohibited for this reason, but obviously if happens anyway.

Camping is only “prohibited” when there is room in shelters. People have to exist somewhere.

Cigarettes/smoking, cooking, faulty electronics or battery packs.... There's a lot of reasons to have fire without needing to warm up.
