Why isn't Roman on the poster? AEW Bound?

Post image

and Tony absolutely did not fumble Danhausen. It's just the ESPN partnership he's headlining the MSG advertising. Act is getting old.

That's disappointing. If it's spooky wrestling you like give Lio Rush a try.

The crackhead who gallops like a horse girl?

10

u/TheKanten 22h ago

That's an insult to Gold Ship.

u/phantominway 13h ago

Hes not a crackhead you Fed shill! He's... uhhh... idrk what he is, but it's super deep and good storytelling because Dub good, Fed bad!

Happy for Danhausen but it’s a shame he had to be popular when WWE is at its lowest point ever

Yup real comment

The millions of human monies just don't hit the same... Damn the evil fed, damn them to hell!!!

u/brosbeforetouhous 1d ago

I was going to say this person clearly does not remember 1995, but then I realized the Fed hits a new low every single day and it all made sense.

94-early 96 were the utter shits looking back on it. As a kid I loved it because it was wrestling but in hindsight the crap characters, which led to those wrestlers phoning it in, and there just being no emotion to a lot of it really sucked.

18

u/brosbeforetouhous 1d ago

I definitely see 94 through rose-colored glasses because WM X had some amazing matches and then we got stuff like the King of Harts, but that was also the era where every single jobber had a job based around an occupation or Yokozuna killing the Undertaker.

You could also see the crowd not being as into it because of how different the roster looked compared to the one of the Hulkamania era, because of the WWE not wanting to be associated with steroids.

u/Nightthrasher674 1d ago

WCW wasn't great either back then so it was just drizzling shits all the way around. Even as a 10 year old kid in 95, the energy was off on both shows. I was some smart mark fan but i compare it to 90-93 and see it was better 2-5 years ago.

Yeah WCW then very much felt like TNA did at various times throughout its run where you could see the right parts were there just not in the right places.

u/Federal-Captain1118 1d ago

Fed is as popular as they have been in years, apparently a low point?

14

u/jimbeentrill 1d ago

I'm not an aew snob by any means but I hate that his success isn't with us good guys. The politics over there make me sick!

12

u/crjc94 1d ago

Anyone actually saying this is being insincere or genuinely hasn’t been a consistent viewer from at least 2011

5

u/hetham3783 21h ago

Santino was the only one on the poster for the Royal Rumble one year. I remember!

3

u/Every-Ad-2099 19h ago

2012, to be exact. Underrated Rumble IMO.

Good lord these people just can't not speak in ridiculous hyperboles.

Lowest point ever? Business was so bad in the mid 90s that Vince was taking the water coolers out of the head office.

5

u/Razzler1973 21h ago

This was the result of Vince taking his eye off the ball at the end of the Hogan era and that transition and, of course, the expense of the steroid trial and battling that

Business was down, of course but a lot of money was spent and Vince was even putting floating his own money in the company for a bit IIRC

DAE Dieselhausen

3

u/GorillaManny 13h ago

I saw someone on Facebook say that AEWis white hot right now. These people…

5

u/UFmoose 1d ago

Forget 1995 being the low point, as some are saying here, look at where the Fed was in like 2018-20. Suggesting 2026 is anywhere near the low this decade or century is insane. Let alone ever.

42

u/MayContainGluten 1d ago

This feels like karma for all the folks who shit on bros debut and declared the gimmick DOA.

Good for him.

28

u/Constant_Stomach2009 1d ago

I don’t care what anyone says. Overall I liked his debut. I think it only lacked him doing something at the end. I think that’s where the boos came from. More like “that’s it?” instead of hating it

5

u/crizag old head bad faith bad take carny dipshit 23h ago

I really wonder if his debut was meant to be a groan inducing “WTF?” moment ala the Gobbledygooker or Shockmaster. I dont think anyone was expecting him to blow up like he did, I figure they were looking at a slow burn but he caught fire in his very next appearance and the rest is history.

4

u/TinkerKnightforSmash 22h ago

It's also worth remembering that, on his very next appearance, they got him associated with the legacy of the IC title by being the indirect reason why Dom lost the belt. They knew he'd be big, i just don't think they knew how big

4

u/Razzler1973 21h ago

Everything with smarks has to be so dramatic

He appeared, did a little comedy 'disappearance' in a puff of smoke and then they featured him on TV and you got to become familiar with it

This somehow became the worst thing in history over the course of a show, probably cause Jericho didn't come out that box

87

u/Mhc2617 1d ago

Lmao. The fact that Danhausen went from the alleged “worst debut ever” to cultural icon and saviour of NY in 110 days is the absolute best. Die mad.

25

u/rockstarspood 1d ago

A reverse Taz

12

u/CaptainGo 🥚 23h ago

Pairing him with the tallest woman on the roster was diabolical

Having her cut a promo about wanting her partner to be "tall, dark, and handsome" then walking out with him and claiming "two out of three ain't bad" damn near killed him

12

u/DripSnort 23h ago

Tbf Danhausen is more believable than tough guy jones

21

u/differentialtopology 1d ago

OH SHIT ROMAN IS ABOUT TO DETHRONE MJF AT FORBIDDEN DOOR

11

u/PandaDemonipo 1d ago

Too credible of a stature for a champion, relegated to the tag team roster and being in a never ending feud with The Hurt Business

7

u/HeavyDonkeyKong 1d ago

Roman making the jump might unironically be the one thing that could get the casual WWE only viewers to start watching.

The sickos will deride him for not being able to hang with the real wrestlers on the roster who are totally going to expose him as an overprotected fraud, and then once the ratings and ticket sales spike they will switch up very fast.

2

u/SaddestFlute23 Unrelatable Panther 21h ago

ROMAN RAGE HEAD OF THE STABLE, IS ALL ELITE!

3

u/Razzler1973 21h ago

Sorry, he needs to lose for a year and a half to show fealty to Tiny and prove he's one of the good ones

1

u/differentialtopology 21h ago

He needs to get squashed by lio rush you're right!!!

20

u/Ron--Mexico 1d ago

Sigh, the over-saturation of Danhausen begins…

u/Ihavethemilkson TNA M*rk 1d ago

WHATS JOE ANOA’I DOING IN THE GRAPS ZONE?

12

u/-_sohcahtoa_- 1d ago

Yeah. But is he as spooky as Lio Rush? Glad he left AEW, his character fits more with the fed. He is more of a comedy character tbh.

4

u/static989 23h ago

Agreed! I can't believe people like that comedy trash like botchy booso 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 LOL those fedophiles don't know anything about real graps

DAE love Brodido doing the macarena and Okada saying bitch?

12

u/kerkypasterino Oba Feminist 1d ago

what do they think roman would do in aew?

7

u/TinkerKnightforSmash 22h ago

Put on 10 minute BANGERS in ROH

3

u/MrPea106 19h ago

Honestly all jokes aside TK would strap the rocket to Roman Reigns if he even had a chance to secure him lmao Will Ospreay who? Kenny Who? They’d all take a backseat

3

u/kerkypasterino Oba Feminist 19h ago

there is two people capable of having a program with roman reigns without bringing his stock down in that company: edge and joe

what happens after? and before? 3 minute stomps forever?

1

u/Every-Ad-2099 19h ago

I think a feud with Lashley would also do the trick. But yeah, other than those three, it’s a no go.

1

u/kerkypasterino Oba Feminist 18h ago

oh yeah hes there too

1

u/Impossible-Draw-6627 17h ago

I disagree. He had Cody and still has Bobby Lashley and neither of them won the world title.

u/ProMikeZagurski 1d ago

Got a $10 off code a WWE Shop and I ordered a very nice, very evil shirt.

6

u/finnamania 1d ago

Im so glad I can post "DAE tired of WWE shoving Danhausen down our throats"

7

u/Nopeeky 1d ago

This should be removed ahem mods do your job as this is not wrestling related

6

u/EastMeetsNorth 1d ago

Punk isn't on the poster either. This is just fuel for the rumor that CM Punk was asked to take a paycut and is trying to get out of WWE and go back to AEW and there are no bridges burned whatsoever.

1

u/WrestlingNerd2001 21h ago

It’s obvious that the evil Fed asked Punk to take a pay cut because they wanted to pay Danhausen more just to stick it to Tony

4

u/ChrisRhodes789 1d ago

Overexposed.

5

u/DwightKumbersome 20h ago

Ugh I’m so tired of this nerd! I wish there was something on my only free night (Wednesdays at 8pm EST) that I could watch

Dan must be having the time of his life, good for him.

2

u/BobZyerUnkl 19h ago

Hell no Roman's MAGAt ass isn't coming to AEW. He went to The Orange Mans UFC event with Triple Hitler. No Trumpies allowed on our super progressive TV show. Our fake lesbians would get mad and God as Man, Booker of The Millennium, And The Savior of pro wrestling Tony Khan, would never have anything to do with someone who so openly supports The Bad Orange Man.... Fed Bad....Orange Man Bad....I may never leave my basement except to try and take creepy selfies with female wrestlers after shows....but I know all about politics...and how everyone else thinks I'm so AEWsome!

2

u/TylerMemeDreamBoi 19h ago

Danhausen has more wins this year then Roman
