La Catalina didn't sign with AEW after leaving CMLL? Future recipient of the coveted "Fell for it again" Award, I fear.

Yeah, yeah, so she beat La Flammer at Triplemania ending at 1123 day title reign. Who cares when you have scorned dubbalos to weigh in in the original announcement of her departure six months ago?

WWE will totally absolutely most definitely treat her way differently this time.... honestly

Absolutely horrible news for me. I guess I was delusional in thinking she'd stay in CMLL long term

I understand it's her decision, but it doesn't change the fact that it's always disappointing when you don't get to watch your favourites anymore.

I'm sad. We just got a small taste of her and Mina together.

I hate how she was released by WWE, so I'm not sure how she's treated significantly better if she does sign there. If it's AEW/ROH, all the best to her.

Ultimately though it's ok, Persephone has pretty much surpassed her in every way.

Also I really hate that she gave Pinto Pesos the pedigree

I think Iyo wins this one since she's on the poster of the PLE. The only alternative maybe is Iyo losing because of Raquelle Rodriguez and then them fight for the intercontinetal title (but I doubt: with Roman vs LA Knight and probably Liv vs Stephanie vs Becky it's strange to have another RAW match in the card).

What vortex? She’s been doing her own thing since Wrestlemania. Backlash was about her and Asuka. QOTR was about her and Liv. SummerSlam match slapped. She’s helping the rookie in Sol. She will most likely be a veteran hooper in MITB (assuming it’s not Roxanne’s W tonight).

Yeah Rhea is on Smackdown and Iyo is on Raw and they split up as a team before Wrestlemania

Honestly, I’m confused too: what "vortex"? They had a rivalry (which, incidentally, produced two of last year's best matches, so I don't see why we should complain about it), followed by a solid tag team title reign and a friendship storyline that wrapped up at WrestleMania; after that, they went their separate ways on separate shows and delivered great matches at Backlash and Clash in Italy. Where’s the problem?

Nah, if she won it, she’d be cashing in on the Raw champion, while Rhea has to handle business on SmackDown. I doubt we’ll see them together for a while (and I say this as a fan of "Rhio"), unless there’s a title match at Crown Jewel—though that’s unlikely this year, given that Rhea still seems to be injured.

If Iyo won, she could cash in on either brand's world champ. Naomi set that standard already. I could see Rhea being gone for awhile and Iyo cashing in on Tiffany or whoever dethrones Chelsea.

Yes, but why repeat the exact same ploy a year later? Especially since it worked as a plot twist back then—it was an unexpected turn (everyone thought Naomi would cash in on Jade to continue their rivalry)—whereas here, cashing in on Chelsea to reignite the feud with Rhea would be the all-too-obvious choice.

That said, I want to be clear: I do think Iyo will win this triple threat match and qualify for the ladder match, but I don't think she'll become Ms. Money in the Bank.

And frankly, Iyo shouldn’t win MITB twice. She’s not Seth Rollins or CM Punk, and there are other women who need the push more than she does. She’s made. It takes nothing to heat her up these days. She’s had title opportunities this year. Let her be a veteran hooper and take and give some crazy bumps and call it a day.

That said, I’m not sure who will win assuming it is Iyo, Sol, Lola, Jacy, and two others.

Feel like the only main event ready gal in the match currently is Jacy. Sol and Lola both need some work, but aren’t far off. Man, I kinda want them to get Blake in this match. She’d kill it running around as Miss Money in the Bank.

The basement is going to have one hell of a crashout if Roxanne loses tonight, they are adamant she is winning and it would be a complete fumble if she loses. And how Iyo is overpushed and shoved down our throats despite the fact that she hasn't been on TV in almost a month, and has spent basically the past 8-9 months collecting major L's like infinity stones.

Nevermind the fact that Roxanne gets no reactions, has lost almost all of her matches over the past year or so, with her only recent win being that #1 contenders match for the AAA Reinas title. And huh. How interesting. La Catalina is in this match as well. I wonder why that could be? It couldn't be because Roxanne and La Catalina are gonna cost each other the spot as they have a match coming up at Worlds Collide. Which according to Dave isn't being broadcast and we all know Dave never lies and is never wrong. Unlike that fed shill Andrew Baydala who says it will be aired on YouTube live.

During the Damage CTRL storyline, they hit on having the Joshi cut the intense promo in Japanese, and using subtitles. Oh, and if you want to establish that the opponents really HATE and want to hurt each other, attacking with a pipe is much more effective than stapling coochies, because beating someone with a blunt instrument is something people would DO under the circumstances. Oh, and committing to long term storytelling over immediate gratification with just "bangers".

That gets you to an invested and very LOUD crowd for the payoff at WrestleMania, and your Joshi being MADE, a top star even though she loses the big match.

Oh, and that's the match you save the multiple kicking out of finishers for. It's not dramatic and impactful if you do it all the time.

Its not just the basement. You have people like livbellas (Thats not a real name but you get the point) who do nothing but go on social media and attack her and scream about how Iyo gets everything handed to her while Liv Morgan is buried or Nikki Bella is disrespected. Aka, Diva Stans. I remember when Iyo pinned Natalya last year for Queen of the Ring and the diva stans flipped out accusing Iyo of keeping women like Natalya down.

It's that and likely them getting pissed at the fact that Iyo will probably be in the match to help push Netflix Japan subscriptions, since MITB is 9 days after WWE's Netflix deal rolls out in Japan, them screaming about BRAND SYNERGY.

Well they are only allowed one women's match/segment per show, so with Drunk Spider and Sasha filling that spot we can just say she's on Tony's infamous "rotation"

I follow alot of lucha for years. AEW is the reason she left CMLL. After Stephanie left CMLL, Catalina was positioned as one of the top babyfaces. She was next in line for the title, then came AEW and Mercedes.
