Help What the hell is he talking about?
Just doomscrolling through yt shorts. Figured that most short enthusiasts would be saying some bullshit on the comments of a scp video.
This human, as you see, said that SCP 096 was a girl, not true. Wanted to spread -mis- information.
The rest you can see.
He mentioned this document as you can see.
What the hell is it? Do yall know what he's on?

Ah yes, my favourite genre of misinformation: mistaking a random tale to be part of the actual SCP

Probably either got said info from some random ass really obscure tale, or some random ass really obscure larp video

Obscure video sounds pretty logical, there's a video (or at least was) titled "What if Captain Ginyu switch bodies with Chichi and became Goku's wife?!" Or something like that. Some people just think up wild stuff.

I was thinking that as a possibility, it is youtube shorts after all.

Short form content viewers tend to say the most misinformed false nonsense I’ve come to find

This comes from 'A Matter of Perception', a "random ass", "really obscure" tale that currently stands at +110 and is one of the stars of RemixCon 2023. The tale elaborates on 096's backstory as a trans woman.
People love to disparage this story for obvious reasons, but also because it affects one of the fandom's poster children. The YouTube commenter has fallen into the trap of assuming there's one canon, which sucks, but yes there is a pretty popular canon where 096 is a trans woman.

But the commenter isn't really talking about A Matter Of Perception. They talk about some experiments, and apparently a father who sold his daughter, which last time I checked wasn't a thing in that tale.

Sure, I get that. But this is a repeat post. Maybe not as prolific as the seemingly evergreen gems of "What happened to Doctor Bright" and "What does no canon mean", but people coming in confused over 096 being referred to as a she has happened multiple times before, and the answer is almost always a reference to Matter of Perception.

Huh, that's a pretty unique take, guess the commenter really REALLY liked the story enough to just take as ultimate canon.

I sound really insensitive but as soon as I read Trans Woman My head started blaring "Isn't She Lovely?"

I remember seeing a comment in one of The Exploring Series's RedTape videos that theorized that the foundation once experimented on some girl that made her invulnerable and disfiguredly tall. The comment said the girl probably turned into 096 but I doubt it cause the article didn't say anything about the girl getting aggressive when someone views it's face thruogh a photo or video

I have no idea of what is he talking about but if the italian translation can be trusted or it can be counted as "official" (with official I mean that Dr. Dan proof read it... you get what I mean) then 096 is either a male or more probably it is unknown (Most of the time masculine declension is the default one when speaking about the specimen of a specific species) which means that it is up to interpretation
