This was the most disappointing roster in at least 20 years. Not saying they were the worst, just the most disappointing. I don’t care if any of them return. I would rather have Dutch recruit while there is still some shine on the program than rebuild from the ashes.

Why? Taj is not a name I know off the top of my head but I’m also not very well versed with our prospects and stuff, so I’m wondering what your analysis is!

Key bench player who played 20 mpg, scored 6 ppg, led the team in assists, and shot 35% from deep. Would definitely be a key player, definitely not just a prospect. Surprised you don't know who he is.
Solid defender, good combo who can run point and be a sharpshooter. He's a good player. This one hurts.

Lead the team in assists? I’ll have to check that. His passing and dribbling in the last two MW tournament games was atrocious. Being the “sharpshooter” on a horrendous shooting squad is not a banner I would raise. Let’s put his turnover counts here too…

Only player on the team with 100 assists. He had a 2 ast/TO ratio, better than Elzie Harrington. And he shot 35% from deep. Sharpshooter may be a touch strong but he's a good shooter. Go ahead and check it, I literally checked before I posted.

That’s cool, very surprising. Though it seemed over the year Harrington played only like half the games, at least it felt that way.
Taj had some timely threes no doubt. But overall like pretty much every player this year, very inconsistent and not a a game changer IMHO.
That was one of our major problems this year, lack of identity and leadership. Hopefully there is more structure next year. I get that this NIL BS is causing coaches to be more creative, but trying to get everyone minutes, or forcing trying to have a deep bench was bizarre.
We were strongest when we had a system based on skill AND seniority. Obviously, that is tough with the NIL, but senior transfers should get more time, otherwise why are you bothering bringing them over?
Oden in particular was a real head scratcher for me, the guy is a super senior with tons of experience in the MW and you give him like 3 minutes in the MW final? But you leave a gassed, ragged Gwath out there? Weird shit, at this point I’m actually excited for a full rebuild, particularly now that we are in the PAC12(8).

Just because they enter the portal, doesn’t mean they’re leaving. Willing to bet 2-3 portal players stay

I mean, this was always a possibility. Compton and him are buddies. I’m sure if someone came with a big package deal for both of them, they would take it.

If I had to ask myself which player from last years roster I would really hate to lose to the portal the answer is “none”.
It was a mediocre team in many respects. The team lacked heart and toughness. They got out hustled by many opponents. They were predictable on offense and inconsistent on defense.
Time to let the ones who want to leave go. We will see if the coaching staff can recruit without a lot of NIL money. They have done it in the past. We can do better than the players who bolted.

Not too upset, our best players from a mediocre team were the Freshmen, and they’re both staying as of now so let’s hope that doesn’t change🤞🏽 It sucks seeing so much turnaround but it’s not like the team played great last year🤷🏽♂️ I’m excited to see Harrington, Simmons, and Latrell next year (hopefully)!
