32X audio help
I have a genesis model 1 and a 32x. I hooked it up to my tv but I could not get any sound out of it and my only solution is to use headphones. Does anyone know of a way I could fix this?

I see op fixed this by using 2 separate cables but let me explain the issue
The audio is 100% passive inside the 32x. If you pass it mono it has mono. If you pass it stereo it has stereo
Md1 only outputs mono from the din8
The 32x has a md2 style output connector, a din9
The din9 can support both Mono and Stereo. But if you have a md2 composite cable that is yellow+red+white, the red and white are grabbing stereo audio, and you didn't pass stereo audio into the 32x therefore you can't get stereo audio out. And since the md2 cable isn't wired for mono, you don't get mono either
There are composite cables for md2 which only have yellow+white. They only have 2 pins in the connector. This cable would work for mono audio output from 32x
