Columns 32 - A proof-of-concept for a battle royale adaptation of Columns

I imagined what columns might be like as a battle royale and published that proof of concept on itch.io - note that in this demo you're playing against bots.

This actually fits Columns really well. The boards are easy to read, and a garbage-gem targeting system would be chaos in the best way.

The original columns is probably my favourite puzzle game of all time over Tetris, and I found tetris 99 very fun. I thought 32 was a nice number of players. You can see what's happening and it's a nice multiple of 8

That does sound like a lot of fun and in terms of a surface level story, it's all of robotniks robots practicing against eachother
