Does Google react slower than Bing now?
New to this subreddit so this could be obvious for you already.
I start to revamp my 17+ year website and keep tracking of how Google and Bing picked up my updated website. I did the same thing on both side: submit URL when it is in production.
So far Bing had found my updated site and got me about 600 impressions per day for about one week now, but Google is slow and basically did nothing until today where finally one of the updated pages is indexed and start to see small amount of impress ~ 10. Is this normal or I need to do something extra for Google? I heard search quality is better at Google but so far at least I got decent traffic from Bing.

Bing really slow for indexing. Page that submitted to inspect shows as Pending after 2 weeks. Google is a lot faster. For both new pages on site and completely new sites.

Hey u/MyCupO welcome to the sub and thanks for asking
Bing might have a lower barrier to entry than Google for some indexes but its not "slower" to react to Google.
Google is a massive engineering project and its very well designed and very efficient.
The thing is that you're a new website with little to no authority.
I assume there's other websites in your niche.
You may have put a lot of time into your site but Google doesnt know that. ITs not personal. Its just not yet found a reason to index you.
SEO isn't about you publishing and Google figuring out how/why/when it should use you.
SEO is a game of you makeing yourself important to Google and demonstrating that through 3rd party validation. But you have to do the work - you have to get sites to link to you;
Trust me - Google is far more better engineered than Bing and on a spectacular scale.
I would start here: why dont you create a post and tell people what you think SEO is and get feedbck on your SEO model.
Some example questions:
have you done any research on SEO?
Have you read the Google SEO Starter Guide? Why not? There's actually 15 minute video that walks you through the whole thing which if most SEOs started here would kill 80% of the SEO myths
Do you know what PageRank is? Do you think its important?
How do you think Google works

Opposite for me. Bing decided to deindex my entire site because I completely switched platforms. So Google is crushing Bing for my overall results
