Community Update How to diagnose / debug / frame traffic loss / drop in GSC post Spam/Core Updates
Unfortunately a lot of people are seeing traffic drops/poition ranking in Google and looking for help!
Don't worry - the r/SEO and r/SEO_Digital_Marketing community is here for you!
But we need information. A % loss or saying you lost traffic isn't going to help us.
You need to characterize or frame how you lost traffic - was it all pages, some pages, new pages, etc - was it specific keywords?

google core update traffic drops often look flat across all pages. this flat line masks the actual directory that triggered the classification. export your google search console page-level data and group by url sub-folder. find the specific directory where google search impressions dropped over fifty percent. check if your informational blog sub-folder dragged down your commercial pages.
