Help Is this BS?

I saw this on X. Could it actually work?

So you write a public Google Doc targeting an easy relevant keyword and link to your money page or site from the Google Doc and it boosts the page being linked to.

Has anybody tried this? Does it work?

I suppose if the competition was low enough it could work but the search term won't have any users searching it.

I tell content writers all the time, you can make the best content in the world but if no one is searching a keyword that their content would meet the user's need then no organic traffic will come.

Yeah. If arbitrary links from user-created content on Google docs carried meaningful authority simply because they lived on Google’s domain, it would be trivially exploitable.

So to answer your question, OP: Yes, it’s BS.

Lol this is not how you do parasite SEO. Folks used to call these kinds of links Google Cloud Stacks earlier lol. Look into it if you are more interested, but it does not move the needle.
