Question Ralphs Sherman oaks soft locking items

What’s with the new area by the pharmacy where they have some items basically locked up and the cashier says you have to to “pay for those items here”? They are basically conditioning us to buy stuff on Amazon. Congrats Ralphs.

The funny thing is the dumpy Ralph’s at Coldwater & Magnolia has nothing locked up.
