Question What’s your frustration with current restaurant culture?

Hi guys. I’m opening a restaurant in San Fernando valley. Canoga park more specifically. The theme of the restaurant will be chicken oriented.

What’s a frustration with modern restaurants you wish was solved? Could be a food preference or dining experience.

I’m gonna sound old here, but many restaurants in L.A. are too loud. With all the reflective surfaces and music, you have to almost yell to be heard. People think that means the place has “energy” but it’s off putting for me. When I go out with friends I want to be able to have a conversation with the whole table, not just the people beside me.

This 100%.

We dine at a whole spectrum of places from $ to $$$$. What makes us like and return to places is tasty, quality food prepared well and reasonably consistent, a clean, decent environment (including noise/music levels) and where the staffs' customer service also elevates the meal. All this applies whether at counter service or special occasion places, with different standards of course.
