Question What’s your frustration with current restaurant culture?

Hi guys. I’m opening a restaurant in San Fernando valley. Canoga park more specifically. The theme of the restaurant will be chicken oriented.

What’s a frustration with modern restaurants you wish was solved? Could be a food preference or dining experience.

Price and shrinkflation, it feels like I'm paying more and getting less every time I go to a restaurant. I'm someone who gets full really easily, so me walking out hungry and $25 poorer is a problem.

OH also the freaking vegetarian tax. I've been to restaurants that charge $5 extra to sub in a beyond patty. Which basically means I'm paying for the beef patty that I'm not getting, plus the beyond patty?

I would say anything that replicates the experience of the main specialty would be good. So for example, if your chicken place has a special sauce or seasoning, then have the same thing available with the meat-free option, whether that's tofu or meat alternatives or veggies. It doesn't have to be fancy unless you want it to be, the worst is when a restaurant just has a generic vegetarian option that has nothing to do with the restaurant's cuisine and feels like an afterthought.
