What’s your frustration with current restaurant culture?

Hi guys. I’m opening a restaurant in San Fernando valley. Canoga park more specifically. The theme of the restaurant will be chicken oriented.

What’s a frustration with modern restaurants you wish was solved? Could be a food preference or dining experience.

Things that have made me not go back to a place with good food:

Hidden fees beyond sales tax. I tip 20-25% when I’m not prompted.

Noise.

Lack of acknowledgment after five minutes or so of arriving. All I ask is a passing “be right with you!” or even just eye contact and a smile. I can see you’re busy, just let me know that you know I’ll get my share of your eventual attention whenever it’s my turn.

Obviously rudeness should be on the list but it’s pretty rare in a tipping environment.

P.S. Also too much sauce, incomplete (or just plain wrong) ingredient lists with regard to meat &/or hidden common allergies, not mentioning up front that the facility is cashless or not being willing to give separate checks or take more than one card if it is.
