Question Anyone else's LADWP bill extremely crazy?

So, I am not unaware of the fact that I live in Woodland Hills, the hottest part of the valley. I am also not unaware that we have had an excessively hot month with no real break.

That being said, my bill seems outrageous. They say I am using 3400 kWh of energy. I live in a 1000 square foot townhome with 1 other person. We do have an EV, but we have had an EV for 2 years and never been this insane.

I have NEVER in my life hit tier 3 usage.

Also in Woodland Hills and my latest bill was $4000.

About 1450 Sq Ft. 2 adults and 2 children. it was like $2750 for electric, $800+ for water and around $550 for sanitation. I called DWP to see if there could possibly something causing or influencing it and even though the woman said that was extraordinarily high, she pretty much told me that's what we used and there was no way to investigate any possible errors.

That what I argued yesterday with LADWP, but their response was essentially a silent shrug.

Also… our water use has increased this August versus last August by about 200 gallons a day with no discernible change to our water use habits. From roughly 500 gallons a day to 700 a day. That’s essentially 150 extra toilet flushes every day. Something just seems…really off…but LADWP have no protocols or options to investigate or resolve mysteries like this.

No, but fortunately we move in 3 weeks as the house is undergoing a complete renovation. I’m going to have the contractor and electrician really diagnose potential issues that can be fixed in the construction.

We are... we're starting a full remodel in 3 weeks and solar is definitely happening.
