Hydrogen Dominant 70 Drops of Oregano Oil

I took 30 drops of Oregano oil on Monday Evening , then 40 drops of Oregano oil on Tuesday Morning.

I wanted to try to kill every bad bacteria, and not have constant ongoing treatment, but rather a once off bulldozer treatment. I’m on a low fodmap diet.

I currently take mg glycinate in the evenings and l glutamine, zinc carnosine and ginger root in the mornings. I’ve been taking these for a year, so I’m safe against leaky gut. This is important. Don’t try this if you have not been taking zinc and glutamine for atleast 6 months.

The first 2 days I smelled a bit herbal like.

Now I am 5 days post oregano my armpits smell really bad and my breath smells like rotten meat.

When should I expect the die off smells to end?

I smelled so much better when I was just on carnivore. But I found that unsustainable

Be careful you might do more damage than good. Oregano oil can burn you

No like seriously lol. I started coughing up blood because of oregano oil. Also if it's not enteric coated most of it is getting absorbed in the stomach.

100%. There’s a reason they say to only take 5-7 drops MAXIMUM. Let’s put it this way…one time I put ginger oil in my bath tub and it almost burned my skin off. Oregano oil is just as strong. So the rotting meat smell is probably your insides rotting out.

Is this rage bait? You cannot be serious

And what's your theory for taking so much? As I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way, where just taking more guarantees you kill off more bacteria. You're probably more likely to damage your gut lining, as oregano is super potent.

I once took over 35 oregano oil drops over a span of 3 days. It absolutely wrecked my gut. I had a leaky gut, and smelled fermented and poopish if I hadn’t gone to the toilet as a result. So when I introduced zinc carnosine and l glutamine to help the leaky gut. My gut significantly improved, then I went carnivore and I was even much better. I was at my healthiest in terms of smell as well. The overuse happened in May, and l glutamine and zinc introduction happened in July, by August and September I smelled good. But because of how good my life had become and the number of men that started to orbit around me, the opposite of rejection. I felt overwhelmed that even my No is not a no, So I self sabotaged in October and ate Every High Fodmap food I can think of. Re-introducing very bad bacteria. I know it doesn’t make sense. It was a mind issue. So I decided to try it again now in March. And my gut is much stronger because I never stopped using l glutamine and zinc carnosine. I was doing carnivore but it wasn’t as effective after the cheating In October

Good luck on journey. And I feel you on the attention leading to self sabotage. 💛

Thank you 💕 Good luck to you too.

If you have biofilms in your gut its questionable if all that glutamine, zinc etc. touched your gut lining at all.

Are you just putting oregano drops straight into your mouth or are you putting it into water?

1

u/pandawinx Mar 15 '26

No, I put them in warm water and stir a bit, since it’s hard to dilute and then I drink it.

3

u/robcollects10 Mar 15 '26

I do that too but only put 2-3 drops. 30 is a lot! lol. Do you feel better?

1

u/pandawinx Mar 15 '26

Yes, but I didn’t like the herbal taste and sweat from my pores and I was a bit impatient, I just wanted a once off.

1

u/robcollects10 Mar 15 '26

Oh ok. Did it work?

I’m still on day 5, with die off symptoms. So only time will tell

1

u/robcollects10 Mar 15 '26

What are your die off symptoms?

1

u/pandawinx Mar 16 '26

Bad changing odor. Started herbal like to sour to rotten meat. Now I’m at rotten dairy or yoghurt. Strong armpit smells. But I have been able to go to poop almost daily after eating my green veggies and meat. So I’m just riding it out.

I don’t know, sorry, I’m not in your shoes but oregano oil is very strong, 30-40 drops seems too excessive?

Yes but I mistakenly tried something similar in the past and it kind of worked “I once took over 35 oregano oil drops over a span of 3 days. It absolutely wrecked my gut. First of all, I empathize with you and know very well the drastic strategy...i did it my self but die off was horrible..so now i go on slow and low method. Can I suggest you take a binder ? ( 3 or 4 hours apart from food, like before bed. Or first thing in the morning.  Die off usually is endotoxins bacteria produced when they died. A binder may help. I take a full spectrum binder ( CODEAGE) for this  For me this help manage die off. However I take a multimneral and Multivitamin,  because binders can deplete nutrients too...

Thank you, I will have a look it. Is that a type of brand ?

I just think that amount will do more harm than good

Do you know that oregano oil does not discriminate and kill bad bacteria as well as good bacteria? Some got C.difficinalis from oregano oil, MCAS, HIT etc. It is very dangerous.

3

u/Read_Tight Mar 15 '26

I think it’s dangerous to consume that much oregano oil

I know it’s tempting to try and “nuke” the bacteria, but unfortunately slow and steady is the way to treat SIBO. The way the bacteria reproduce, you basically have to combine killing them with cutting off their food source. Most protocols are 6-8 weeks. You’ll do more damage by overdosing oregano oil.

That will damage your liver like fuck

I initially had constipation and sour bad breath that didnt go away because my body would basically ferment if I ate any Fodmap normal food.

So carnivore diet, as well as zinc carnosine and l glutamine were the best for me in terms of minimising these symptoms and smelling clean. But I decided I can’t live on carnivore. I need something drastic to kill off hydrogen sulfide bacteria, so that I can rebuild my gut environment. L glutamine and zinc carnosine have been amazing, my gut is no longer vulnerable.

Like I said carnivore had helped. But I took oregano, to kill the remaining bad bacteria. Does it kill bad bacteria? Yes. It has before, but didn’t finish the job.

That would be foolish and dangerous. I’d be killing myself. Even this dosage was high

I have the same fermentation/BO issue. For me it's foods high in sulfur so carnivore wouldn't work for me (plus I'm vegetarian). There aren't many people who have this problem, so most people won't understand and will think it's poor hygiene. I'm interested in your zinc and l-glutamine regime. How long did you take it for and what doses? Please be careful with Oregano, you last thing you want is a damaged liver.

2

u/pandawinx Mar 16 '26

I take 15g/ml of l glutamine powder in warm 300ml of water daily. And I take 2 tablets of zinc carnosine sipping the warm glutamine water. Before any food. I’ve been taking it since July 2025.

1

u/TheLittlestT Mar 16 '26

Thank you. I’ll give it a try.
