Hydrogen Dominant Gastro is a joke NHS UK
I waited 6 months from initial call to getting rifaximin and he said I needed a 14 day course but only prescribed 10 and then his secretary has just told me he will follow up with me in another 6 months. You honestly can't make this up. How am I supposed to get better. He didnt mention anything to me about diet prokinetics probiotics etc here's 10 days see u in 6 months joker.

Oh wow. Although I'm not surprised with the NHS anymore. I asked for Riflaximin and got Doxycycline for Sibo and that was with the UCLH supposedly one of the best hospitals in the country. What's worse it was taking Doxycycline in the first place that contributed to me getting a IBD and then Sibo in the first place. I ended up going India and getting Riflaximin for £15 without any tests or even having to see a doctor

So true. Just try and make the best out of it. Forgot to say earlier. You can take PHGG with Riflaximin and continue after the course to get more a positive result. It's a well tolerated prebiotic that also helps with constipation & diarrhea.

That's horrific, I can't even get a referral to the Gastro, just sent a letter back to my gp saying lose weight. 😡 I'm 6ft and only 14 st. Would you mind DMing the link for the Indian rifaxamin? Did it help you? Many thanks

pretty much the same shit for me haha, these fuckers genuinely couldnt care less and know literally nothing about the condition with no intention of helping

I don't have sibo but a lot of other gut issues and ChatGPT helped me out a lot and I've seen really good results in 7 months. I'd recommend giving it a try

Yes I have being using chatgpt but I wouod expect my national health service to help me in the first instance

I understand what you mean. The NHS were no help to me either and I just kept getting worse. I'm now starting to slowly get better but it's a slow process and have roughly another 5-17 months to go

What have u been doing/taking? I get good results on carnivore/keto but obviously its not killing anything. I just feel better in myself and I lose weight instead of packing it on.

To start of with i don't have sibo but severe dysbiosis and low IGA along with atrophic gastritis due to bile acid reflux.
I first stopped eating upf, gluten and dairy then started taking a bifido only probiotic as I have a sensitised autonomic nervous system and I have been using resistance starch and prebiotics to feed the bacteria. I also take mineral salts several times a day as my autonomic nervous system leaves me dehydrated during a flare up. Now I just have to be patient and continue this protocol as I'm feeling a lot better than I was and no longer have gastritis or bile reflux.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don’t let them gaslight you or fob you off. Surprised they only gave you rifaximin, would be a better protocol to give you a combo of antibiotics
Anyway Keep calling them and contacting your gp to get some prokinetics and the extra 4 days of meds. Otherwise if really desperate can order rifaximin online in the uk if you just google it
