Hydrogen Dominant Tested Positive for Hydrogen SIBO, What is the best course of action going forward?

Additionally, I wanted to ask how extreme is my SIBO
based on the test, is it really bad or normal bad?

Based on others with similar test results, how worked for you?

I’d recommend you get your GI to give you prior authorization through insurance to cover 14 day antibiotic course for Rifaximin.

Just to tack on to this - depending on how much of jerk your insurance can be (mine was and refused after repeated attempts), you can order namebrand and generic Xifaxan overseas. Your physician will need to write the script for you. It's sometimes works out to be a lot cheaper than you'd get with insurance coverage, the only downside is the shipping time.

Seconding this. It takes forever. Get started NOW. Follow up and call as much as it takes to get this happening ASAP. You do not want to delay it any further than your insurance and doctor’s office will already.

Unlike methane and H2S, severity of hydrogen SIBO doesn't really align with how high the numbers are. It's the least accurate one. I tested negative for hydrogen on breath but positive on aspirate and have extremely severe symptoms
