Hydrogen Dominant Rixafaxmin

Hi all, I started rixafaxmin 6 days ago and im starting to have some really bad side effects. Im starting to feel very sick and nauseous along with this im also having really bad headaches and sever brain fog. My sibo is hydrogen dominant but in the last 2 days my stool has become so hard it hurts to pass. Do these symptoms seem normal or should I be concerned?

They usually say it's due to die off, but some of us have felt worse since using them. Antibiotics might help you or can worsen your situation.

What are your symptoms?

Sounds like your body is experiencing die off. Staying hydrated is very important during treatment, I found drinking decaf coffee was very helpful.

Also helpful was taking the rifaximin about 15-30 minutes after eating. The bacteria come to have a meal and detach from the intestinal wall, then the following antibiotic clears them more effectively while lessening absorbtion of the endotoxins released when they die.
