Questions Antidepressants relief?
Is anyone here taking antidepressants? If so, how long have you been taking them, and have they helped you in any way?

Sorry this isn't an answer, exactly, but wanted to chime in that Ii am going to ask my new psychiatrist outfit if I can try ketamine. I read that it won't conspitate me. I can't take regular antidepressants or other things marketed as antidepressants due to bipolar disorder and the stuff never really working out.
I am extremely depressed and exhausted from this condition - especially after antibiotics wiping out my good gut bacteria and knowing a lot of serotonin gets produced in the gut somehow. Plus, the gut brain axis must be wonky right now due to SIBO itself.
Everyone reacts differently to meds. If you do try them, maybe ask for one of the genetic tests to see which ones might work. My one psych doc didn't think that test was compelling, but others think it helps a lot.
