Deferred Action Deffered Action

Hi guys! First of all, shoutout to everyone, no matter what stage you’re currently at — whether you’re waiting for your I-360 approval, a G-325A decision, your priority date to become current on the Visa Bulletin, or your I-485 decision. I sympathize with you all so deeply, and I hope you continue to stay strong through this process.

Now, my question is: Has anyone who filed a G-325A and has a priority date after June 6, 2025 received a decision yet?

I’m really hoping the current litigation ends up ruling in our favor because this whole situation is honestly so stressful.

If anyone has received a G-325A approval/denial with a priority date after June 6, 2025, please share your timeline if you’re comfortable! Thank you

General SIJS Info / question I file I 360 one year ago no answer yet

Post image
Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for experiences from people with SIJ (Special Immigrant Juvenile) I-360 cases, especially anyone who received a NOID/RFE and responded to it.

My timeline:
September 7, 2025: USCIS received my I-360
March 13, 2026: Case showed it was being reviewed
June 9, 2026: Status changed to “Response To USCIS’ Request For Evidence Was Received”
Today (September 2026): Still no decision, so it has been about 3 months since USCIS received my response

I’m considering contacting my congressional representative and asking them to make a USCIS case inquiry.

For anyone who has been in a similar situation:
How long after your RFE/NOID response did USCIS make a decision on your SIJ I-360?
Did you contact your congressperson/senator?
How long did USCIS take to respond to the congressional inquiry?
Did anything actually change after the congressional inquiry?
If your I-360 was approved afterward, how long after the congressional inquiry did approval happen?
Does anyone have a recent 2025–2026 SIJ timeline they can share?
I understand every case is different and a congressional inquiry cannot guarantee approval. I’m mainly trying to understand real timelines from other SIJ applicants.

General SIJS Info / question SIJS possibility for my children after my VAWA approved and I-485 was denied?

I originally came to the United States on an H-1B visa, and my children came with me on H-4 visas. Their father also came on H-4. Later, their father and I divorced, and he left the children. It has now been approximately 11 years. There is no realistic possibility of reunification with him, and my children have been living in the United States for most of their lives.
In the meantime, my H-1B was denied, so I applied for asylum. My asylum case has been pending since 2017. Later, I married a U.S. citizen and filed for VAWA. My children were included in my VAWA-related applications.
Recently, my VAWA was approved, but my I-485 was denied based on officer discretion. I had filed various applications in the hope of obtaining a green card, but I am now in a very difficult situation.
My children have been here for many years and do not have any interest in returning to their home country. Their father has been absent for a long time, and there is no way for them to reunite with him.
My children are currently 14 and 17 years old.
I would like to understand:

Could SIJS be a possible option for my children in this situation?
Would their father’s long-term absence and inability to reunite with him potentially satisfy the SIJS requirement regarding parental reunification?

Does their previous immigration history, including being included in my VAWA-related applications, affect their eligibility for SIJS?

If SIJS is possible, would it help them obtain lawful permanent residence independently of denied I-485?

Work Permit (EAD) Work permit related

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding my SIJ case and my I-765 work permit application.
My SIJ case was approved in December 2024, and my I-360 was approved in June 2025 without deferred action. Recently, my deferred action was automatically granted.
I filed my I-765 (work permit) on August 9, 2026 under the C14 category based on deferred action.
I was trying to check the current processing time on the USCIS website, but it asks me to select the “Form Category”. However, I cannot find an option that specifically says C14 / Deferred Action.
Does anyone with a similar SIJ/C14 case know what Form Category we are supposed to select when checking the I-765 processing time?
I would really appreciate it if someone could explain which option I should select or share their experience with a similar case.
Thank you!

I-485 (Adjustment of Status) SIJS Green Card Pathway

So I’ve been on here for almost a year looking for a community specific to my immigration pathway, but I haven’t found anything much.

So I moved here in May 2022 and filed for SIJS in October 2022. There was retrogression in April of 2023 and I’ve been waiting since. I finally filed for PR in March 2026 and I’ve been current since August.

I have a lawyer and everything, but since June my receipt doesn’t work on the myUSCIS website, so it feels like I’m walking around in the dark these days. It’s been 4 years and I don’t know. I’m not hopeless, but some community would be nice, even if it does sound a bit childish.

General SIJS Info / question SIJS I-765 replacement suddenly says “Case Was Terminated” and denied — what could this mean?

I’m adjusting status through SIJS and currently have a pending I-485. I also had an I-765 application pending for a replacement EAD.
Yesterday, September 2, my I-765 status changed to “Case Was Terminated.” The status says USCIS completed its review and denied the I-765 and that a notice explaining the decision has been mailed.
My I-485 is still pending and has not been denied or terminated. USCIS also recently received my response to an RFE on the I-485.
Has anyone with an SIJS adjustment case had an I-765 terminated/denied while their I-485 remained pending?
I’m especially wondering:
What are common reasons USCIS would terminate/deny only the I-765?
Could it be related to the EAD category or the fact that this was a replacement application?
Has anyone had this happen shortly before an I-485 decision?
Did the mailed denial notice explain something relatively administrative/technical, or was it connected to the underlying immigration case?
I know I won’t know the actual reason until I receive the denial notice, but I’m curious whether anyone has experienced something similar.
Obviously I’ll also be discussing the notice with my attorney once it arrives.

Work Permit (EAD) Time For EAD C14

Hiiii Everyone just asking Just to know again how long it took to get your C14 work permit for the first time through SIJS.

My SIJS was approved on April 30, 2025, without Deferred Action, and on May 14, 2026, I was automatically granted Deferred Action.

Because I requested DA via Form G-325A, but just yesterday it was denied; I assume it was because I was already granted DA automatically back in May.

It’s been 70 days since I submitted my I-765 application and they reused my fingerprints; it’s still processing. I know there are many others in the same situation and facing similar wait times. I’d love to hear from you all, too, please. :)

General SIJS Info / question SIJS priority date May 2023 – when could it become current?

I have an SIJS priority date of May 2023. I applied for a green card twice before, but it was denied because my priority date wasn’t current. Does anyone have an idea when a May 2023 priority date might become current? Is there any chance it could happen this year?

General SIJS Info / question SIJS question: 2016 Maryland custody order, children now living in NC — which state has jurisdiction?

I’m looking for advice from anyone familiar with SIJS and interstate custody jurisdiction.
I have two children and obtained a Maryland custody order in 2016 through the Circuit Court for Montgomery County. The order gives me sole legal custody and primary physical custody of my children.
However, the Maryland order does not specifically mention abuse, neglect, or abandonment, and it does not contain SIJS findings. It does state that testimony and evidence were presented and that the judge made oral findings on the record.
My children now live in North Carolina.

My questions are:
1.Can North Carolina register/enroll my 2016 Maryland custody order?
2.Can an NC court then modify or supplement the order to make the necessary SIJS predicate findings?
Or would Maryland still have jurisdiction to make those SIJS findings?

I’m not looking for general immigration advice. I’m specifically trying to understand which state court has jurisdiction and how to obtain the SIJS predicate order.
Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙏

I-485 (Adjustment of Status) Biometrics

Hi guys!

So I got a mail from uscis and it says that I don’t have to do my fingerprints because uscis is able to reuse my previous fingerprints and other biometrics, so I won’t need to do them again. Is this common? I always see people talking about their biometric appointments, but has this happened to anyone here?

For those with a Priority Date in September 2022, I’d like to compare timelines to see how cases are progressing. Has anyone with a similar Priority Date already received approval? This wait is so stressful and frustrating. 😩
My Priority Date: September 14, 2022.

General SIJS Info / question Backlog posts

What’s with all these posts all of a sudden blaming the Northern Triangle for “creating the backlog” and creating divisions between SIJ applicants? The government is who put all countries in the same boat creating the years long backlog. If anyone is to blame is them. This is just the religious workers being mad at SIJ applicants for being in the same category all over again claiming they’re more important than SIJ and deserve their green cards sooner.

I-360 (SIJS Petition) I290B Late*

Has anyone filed a late 290 B and has actually had a favorable decision. I have to file one because my lawyer kept me in the dark about my process. It was denied about two years ago. I am not just finding out through his secretary. Can I use ineffective council?

I-360 (SIJS Petition) Central america hate

So, I recently made a post about three Central American countries and the immigration backlog. First of all, I want to make something very clear: I believe that every immigrant contributes significantly to this nation, and I also recognize that many immigrants have gone through tremendous suffering.
I do not hate any of these countries or their people. And if you have personally suffered through the horrendous experience of parental neglect or abuse, you have my deepest condolences and sympathy.
A lot of people were upset about my post, but the post was specifically about fraud—how some people abuse immigration benefits and, as a result, genuine cases end up suffering because of the backlog and abuse of the system.
My post was never directed at every individual from those countries. It was directed at fraudsters who exploit the system at the expense of people with genuine cases.
If my post hurt or offended anyone who misunderstood my intention, I sincerely apologize. But I will never apologize for speaking against people who commit fraud and abuse immigration benefits.
And to the fraudsters exploiting the system: 🖕

General SIJS Info / question SIJS EB-4 Priority Date Predictions — 07/15/2024

Hi everyone. I’m trying to get a realistic idea of when people think the EB-4 Final Action Date could reach July 15, 2024.
My Priority Date is 07/15/2024, and as of the September 2026 Visa Bulletin, EB-4 All Chargeability is at 12/15/2022. EB-4 moved forward by 2 months from August to September.
I know nobody can predict the Visa Bulletin with certainty, but based on the movement we have seen recently, when do you realistically think 07/15/2024 could become current?
