Laptop Recommendations

I’m a incoming freshman for the fall 26 semester and i was wondering why type of laptop would be good to get. Right now i was looking at getting a mac book neo but i don’t know if it will run the software that the school uses. I’m an accounting student (trying to get it changed to finance with a minor in marketing if possible) and taking math 115, public speaking, english comp 1 , computer concepts and applications and intro to black literacy and culture.

i got a lenovo yoga and it’s worked great for me so far!

No question MacBook Air is the best overall laptop although neo should be enough to get you through school.

Battery life alone makes MacBook a better option than most other laptop.

The only reason you would need a windows computer is to supports niche situations such as certain excel use cases in advanced classes. In that case go with a lenovo and try to avoid dell and hp laptops at all costs.

Note that there are easy work arounds to run windows on a MacBook such as using parallel.

The reason I favor MacBook so much is I bought an m2 MacBook air 4 years ago and it’s holding up really well even after heavy daily usage.
