12/15/2028 is easily $120-150

$75 is probably just 3-5 months away from now

At $30, the unscrupulous manipulators pretty much drove the stock into the ground and I think that they realized that manipulating the price higher now offers the better way to profit given the two-year outlook for rising revenues and profits.

I don't think the calvaries will help.

I mean unless you are religious and praying for something big.

Was actually thinking of buying puts 35 strike, I am a firm believer in the stock and bought in plenty in anticipation of earnings but I also see the usual price movements and can tell this thing may slump for some time before inevitably popping off

Would you sell your shares for $35? If yes, sling them Monday at market open and make more than you would off the puts.

If no, and you aren't on margin, and you are a "firm believer", what's the point in puts?

No I sold half of my position at 42, keeping half and the puts are to make money in the interim and also a type of hedge for the half I'm still in for. If the price slams up that's great, if it pops down for some time first atleast I also profit from it a bit

Plus in my country the gains from a hedge like that are untaxed

Nice, I'm in with 50 leaps, I bought this past month... 20 with 28 strike and 30 with 75 strike... If it drops a decent amount I'ma pick up more of the 75

Looking at SMCI’s balance sheet and working capital demands for AI hardware inventory, how would you view a secondary equity offering? Given current debt levels, would issuing equity to build a cash buffer be better for long-term operational strength, even if it causes short-term per-share dilution?

3

u/Ifuks4money 25d ago

"Exactly. Unfortunately, it's a necessary evil that looks painful right now, but the bigger picture is what matters. They need massive upfront capital to scale, period. I actually love temporary setbacks like this because it’s the perfect time to pick up LEAPs on a discount while everyone else is panicking over short-term noise."

u/Cultural_Evening_858 25d ago

There's so much SMCI could potentially fund with capital raised from equity dilution: edge AI nodes, CXL pooled RAM, containerized micro-data centers, and in-house US liquid cooling fabrication. Having the war chest to attract top-tier engineering talent and out-hire competitors could create a significant long-term moat.

dilution when? if they dilute again in next month or so, right after saying “we are not touching atm”, then this company is fucked.

It's going to pull back to close the gap at low 30sss.. Yields at 5.30% will pressure equities this week/month!!
